Matte Blues and Green

For this one I used Xtreme Wear Royal Hue, Xtreme Wear Babe Blue, and Zoya Blu, the green is Essie Vibrant Vibes.

 

X-Men Apocalypse

Today's nails are inspired by the new X-Men movie. I didn't have very high expectations for the movie, so I decided not to go all out with the design, and instead do more simple, classic looks. On my main fingers I did the four horsemen that appear in the movie, Storm, Magneto, Archangel, and Psylocke, and on my thumb is Apocalypse.

Pink and Black Glitter Placement

 Here's a glitter placement I did using glitters from China Glaze Glimmer More and China Glaze Create A Spark. I actually liked this design so much that I cut some pieces of glitter for around the cuticle area, which is something I never do.

Broken Stripes

For this design I did a random gradient base using China Glaze Rain Dance The Night Away, China Glaze Let's Jam, and China Glaze Boho Blues, with a light coat of Nicole By OPI Lets's Make A Comet-Ment on top. The stripes are Xtreme Wear Midnight Sky.

A Rift in the Galaxy

I did today's design using some lightning bolt nail vinyls. I was going to do a gradient, but decided to mix it up a little bit and do some galaxy nails instead. For the galaxy I used China Glaze Mix and Mingle, China Glaze One Track Mind, China Glaze Capacity To See Beyond, China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle, and a little bit of Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond. The bolt is Color Club Over The Moon outlined with Zoya Storm.

Double Water Spotted

Recently I tried out double water spotting with black and white. I loved the result and ended up wearing this for like a week. Underneath the spotting I did a radial gradient using Color Club Macaroon Swoon, Color Club Hot Hot Hot Pants, Color Club Diggin' The Dancing Queen, and China Glaze Let's Jam. Over that I did a light coat of Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond.  The only thing I had to create the spotting effect is some old Bath and Body Works body splash, so my hands reeked of coconut for days.

Captain America Civil War

I've done nail art for every single Marvel movie thus far, and Captain America Civil War is no exception. Because the movie is essentially two teams of Avengers fighting against each other, I did half of each of my nails with one person from Team Captain America and one from Team Iron Man. On my pointer is Ant Man and Spiderman, on my middle is Captain America and Iron Man, on my ring finger is The Winter Soldier and War Machine, the pinky is Hawkeye and Black Widow, and my thumb is Falcon and Black Panther.
