Since it's the end of April I thought it would be cute to do some "April showers bring May flowers" nails, so on one side we have raindrops, and the other side flowers. It's not my favorite design, but I do feel like it looks better in person than in these pictures; the backgrounds have some subtle sponging which adds a nice effect to the nails, but doesn't come across very well on camera.

Sunshine Swirl Watermarble
After my last highly successful watermarble, I wanted to do some more, so I decided on this summery swirl design. I used Color Club Disco's Not Dead, 'Til The Record Stops, and Meet Me At The Rink. I initially tested this with more colors, but the polish was drying too fast in the water, so I stuck with just these three. I wish I had done more tests though because this marble would have been a lot better if I added a few brighter colors to break up the pastels since they ended up blending together so much.

Spring Time Double Gradients
For this design I used a vinyl to gradient a design over the green gradient. I couldn't settle on a color so I ended up doing purples and pinks. I don't think this design is very clean, but it looks alright from a distance. I did this a few weeks ago, so I think the green gradient is China Glaze Treble Maker, Essie Vibrant Vibes, and Color Club 'Til The Record Stops, the pinks are China Glaze Glow With The Flow, Xtreme Wear All Bright and Color Club Feathered Hair Out To There, and the purples are China Glaze Tart-y To The Party, China Glaze Let's Jam, and China Glaze Plur-Ple.

Watermelon Watermarble
Today I have a fun stripe watermarble. I try to experiment with watermarble designs a bit, but I always end up going back to the stripes because its the most simple and consistent design to do. I used Zoya Cecilia, Color Club 'Til The Record Stops, Color Club Disco's Not Dead, Color Club Biscuits & Jam, and China Glaze Fresh Prince-ss. These polishes worked together in the water so well, and I'm super happy with how this manicure ended up!

Easter 2017
Here's this year's Easter nails; I always love painting patterns, so this year I did chickies, bunnies, and eggs along with an Easter basket. I primarily used the pastel neons from Color Club; Disco's Not Dead, 'Til The Record Stops, Meet Me At The Rink, Diggin' The Dancing Queen, Feathered Hair Out To There.

Chevron Striped
Hello! This manicure wasn't my favorite, and I think the orange ended up looking a bit muddy on top of the pastel neons, but the white chevron looks kind of cool. I used Color Club Disco's Not Dead, Color Club Hot Hot Hot Pants and Color Club Feathered Hair Out To There for the gradient, and the orange is Zoya Cole.

Crossing Stripes
Here's a manicure that I did this past week that I didn't dislike! I could have done this much quicker and easier by making the base purple
and painting the greens over striping tape to get the stripes, but I didn't think
the light green would be opaque enough to cover the purple, so instead I
outlined each stripe individually with tape to get clean lines. I used Color Club 'Til The Record Stops in the middle, Zoya Cecilia on the sides, stripes of Zoya Finley, and a little dot of Orly Royal Blue.

Floral Split
Even though I haven't posted in a little bit, I have been painting my nails more frequently than I have in years. This sounds like a good thing, but unfortunately I've been pretty unhappy with a lot of my design lately and I couldn't stand wearing them on my nails for very long. This is definitely one of those designs. I actually love the blue side and the floral, but I super missed the mark with that netting design. I wanted it to be contrasting to the blue side but I used the wrong colors because it is just ugly in my opinion.
