Layla CE52

Hello! Today I'm wearing a pretty neat polish. It's Layla CE 52, It is also commonly referred to as "The Butterfly Effect", but there's no mention of that on the bottle. TBE has a dark purple jelly base that is packed with fiery flakies. They most shift colors between red orange and yellow, but in certain lightings you can see an occasional green glimmer. Since it is a jelly You can wear it alone, or layered over a color. For these swatches I wore is solo. The formula was average, I used three coats. The flakies are incredibly dense in the base, so you don't have to worry about placing them. This polish is normally around 10 dollars at Ulta, but since it was part of the previous Christmas collection, I got it discounted at $6!

Zoya Julie

Hi! Today I am wearing Zoya Julie. Julie is from Zoya's recent Lovely collection. I wanted every color in that collection, but my number one pick was Julie. I just really love light purples, and this polish is no exception! Julie is a soft lilac metallic. With two coats there were slight bald patches, so I added a third coat just to even it out. The formula was great as per usual with Zoya. I love the subtle silver shimmer in this polish!

China Glaze Glitz Bitz and Pieces

Hello! Today I have swatches of my picks from the China Glaze Glitz Bits and Pieces collection that came out not too long ago. I got three of the polishes of out of the six piece collection.
Each polish has black hexagonal glitter in 4 sizes, black bar glitter, and 3 different sized glitters in a particular color. The glitter is fairly dense, so it doesn't take much to get a lot of coverage. I also didn't have an issue with glitter sticking up and catching on things, which is a huge plus.
Mosaic Madness has bright blue glitter with the black. I layered it over Zoya Julie.
Graffitti Glitter has emerald green glitters along with the black. I layered it over Zoya Blu.
Bling It On has a sort of blurple glitter in it. At times the purple glitter looks really dark and sort of blends with the black. I layered it over Xtreme Wear Wet Cement.

China Glaze Magnetix II

Hello! Today I have swatches of my picks from the China Glaze Magnetix II collection. This collection came out last September. I'm pretty late on this one... I took these pictures around Christmas and completely forgot about them. The collection included new colors, and a magnet with three new designs! From the collection I got Con-Fused?, and Sparks Will Fly. This collection is definitely an improvement on the original Magnetix, and the magnet designs are much more interesting.
Con-Fused? is a green, my only green magnetic! I used two coats, and the formula was good. This polish picked up the designs very well.
Sparks Will Fly is a blue that, when the magnet is used, shows a blurple color. It's really pretty! This polish didn't pick up the designs from the magnet as well, they weren't really defined when compared with the green, but the bulls-eye just looks so neat!

Chevron Hearts

Hello! This is my first Valentine's Day nail art this year! I should have one or two more coming. The inspiration for this design actually came from a folder I have. I really wanted to paint the design before, but I've been waiting to do it for Valentines Day! The folder has a longer chevron pattern, but this was all I could fit on my nails. I love how this one turned out!
I used Zoya Mira, Xtreme Wear Pink Punch, Color Club Vintage Couture, and Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac.

Zoya Vespa

Hi! Today I am wearing a nail polish from Zoya's PixieDust collection! This collection is comprised of 6 textured nail polishes of varying colors. The only one I picked up is Vespa, I'm not huge on textured nails. Vespa is a light green with a ton of sparkly silver glitters. The finish is textured, but not rough, my nails didn't end up snagging on anything! For me this chipped off within a day, but it lasted a whole week for my sister, I guess I just have bad luck. I used three thin coats for evenness and opacity.

Zoya Aurora

Hello! Today I am wearing Zoya Aurora! This polish recently came out as a part of Zoya's Ornate collection this past winter. What an amazing color! Aurora is a purple color, dense with scattered holo shimmer. The formula was amazing. For my nails I used three coats, just to make sure that there were no bald patches.

Gradient Over Zoya Paloma

Hello! Today I have a manicure that I originally saw on Pinterest. It's from Lucy's Stash, and I fell in love with the look as soon as I saw it. I'm not totally happy with how my try turned out, but it'll do! For this look you lightly brush on a color to create a gradient look. Lucy used Zoya Mimi over Zoya Paloma, and I happened to have those colors!
