Happy Halloween!

Hello, everyone! I'm posting this pretty late, in fact Halloween's almost over! For my nail art today I decided to paint a medley of monsters. On my pointer is a witch, and on my middle finger is a werewolf. My ring finger is a mummy, and my pinky is a zombie. On my thumb I have Jason's hockey mask. I hope you all had a fantastic Halloween!
Pointer: Base is Xtreme Wear Green With Envy. The eyes are Orly Mellow Yellow with China Glaze Red Satin. Her hat is OPI Vant To Bite My Neck?
Middle: The base is a China Glaze Mahogany Magic mized with some white. The darker brown is Revlon Hot For Chocolate.
Ring: The mummy is just black and white with a bit of Mahogany Magic sponged on it to make the wrappings look old and gross.
Pinky: The base is a lightened Revlon Trendy. The eyes are Zoya Darcy, and the blood is China Glaze Merry Berry.
Thumb: The red is China Glaze Red Satin.

33DC: Day 17

Hello! The prompt for today is to do artwork featuring your favorite brand. I really like a bunch of brands of nail polish, but my favorite is definitely China Glaze. I was originally going to do some crazy design using a ton of different colors. Somehow I settled on the idea of just using one instead, and I'm really glad that I did! The red is China Glaze Red Satin.

Bloody Crime Scene

Hello! Today I have another Halloween manicure! I decided to go ahead and do a bloody crime scene splatter manicure. It's certainly not the most original idea, but I love doing splatter manicures anyway. I used two reds, China Glaze Merry Berry, and Red Satin. I also added some police tape to make it look like a crime scene. The tape is Zoya Darcy.

33DC: Day 16

Day 16 of the 33 Day challenge is inspired by South America. I was really stumped with this one. I was looking through some artwork done by South American artists and came across some really cool stuff painted by Omar Chacon. I decided to do some nail art based off of one of his paintings!

China Glaze Monster's Ball: My Picks

Hello! It's been a really long time since I've done any swatches! Today I have two from China Glaze's Halloween collection, Monsters Ball. Of course the only polishes I picked up from this collection were the glitter toppers. I ended up liking them way more than I expected to!
Boo-Gie Down has a mix of white, orange, and black glitters that all vary in size. There are also some long skinny black bar glitters. The orange is also a bit on the copper side. I was surprised by how much I actually like this polish! The glitter is very dense, so it doesn't take a lot to get good coverage. My swatch is about 1.5 coats, haha. I had a really hard finding good underwear for this polish! After a few failed attempts I ended up liking it over Zoya Neely (green), and Xtreme Wear Wet Cement (grey).

Fang-Tastic has jewel toned green, blue, pink, and purple glitter. Again, the formula was really smooth. The glitters were less dense in this polish, but you could get away with one coat depending on how much coverage you like your glitter toppers to have. All my fingers are two coats, except my ring finger, which is one. Personally I preferred this over lighter colors. I swatched it over white, Zoya Blu, and Zoya Neely.

33DC: Day 15

The prompt for day 15 is animals! After some deliberation I decided to paint a peacock! I put the actual bird on my middle finger. On my other fingers I painted his feathers as they come out of his back. I love him, I think he's very majestic.
For the peacock I used China Glaze Frostbite. The greens that I used are China Glaze Def Defying, Watermelon Rind, and Running In Circles. I also used Orly Rage, and Zoya Noel.

Haunted House

This is my first Halloween nail art of the year! I've been pretty busy doing the 33 Day Challenge, so my Halloween manicures have been put on the back burner. At last I finally got around to doing a creepy haunted house manicure! I painted two houses with some spooky trees and gravestones. Of course I couldn't forget to add a few bats!
The base is mainly Zoya Mira. To give it a slight gradient effect I mixed it with OPI Vant To Bite My Neck?, and a white polish. The yellow is Zoya Darcy.

33DC: Day 14

Day 14 calls for abstract nails! This one was hard for me, the topic is so broad. I had no idea what to do for this, so I just googled abstract nail art and starting pulling some ideas. This was way out of my comfort zone, I've never done anything really like this before. I actually  really love the result!
I used Orly Lemonade, Essie Mint Candy Apple, OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, and China Glaze Sweet Hook.

33DC: Day 13

Hi! Today's theme is Chinese. I had so many ideas for this that I had no idea what to do. I ended up taking the easy way out and just doing some Chinese cherry blossoms... and it ended up not going so great... For the base I used a white and then applied a coat of China Glaze Frosty. The branches are Revlon Hot For Chocolate. The flowers are Xtreme Wear Berry Juicy, and Fuchsia Power.

33DC: Day 12

It's day 12! The prompt is to do a manicure inspired by a pattern in your home. This is what I came up with! The light blue is Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau, the dark is China Glaze Man Hunt. The pink is Xtreme Wear Pretty In Hot Pink.
The manicure is inspired by this carpet in my attic. It's not exact.. but the prompt never said it had to be!

33DC: Day 11

Hello! Day 11 is 3D nails! For my 3D manicure I used the spun sugar technique because the polish bumps off the nail. The base is Xtreme Wear Razz-Berry. Then I used Xtreme Wear Perfect Pear-ing, Essie Where's My Chauffeur? and Mint Candy Apple. I always like doing this design, it feels cool, and it's super easy to do! 3D is such an interesting prompt, I can't wait to check out what everyone else came up with.

33DC: Day 10

Hi! Day 10 calls for flowers! For some reason I just wanted to make some simple flowers out of glitter... It worked alright, but the glitter obviously doesn't make sharp lines, so they look blobby. The  base is Xtreme Wear Berry Juicy. For the flowers I used Color Club Jingle Jangle, Beyond The Mistletoe, Art Of Seduction, and Tru Passion. The green bits are Color Club Object Of Envy.

33DC: Day 9

Day 9 of the 33 Day Challenge calls for Indian nails! I decided to do a design inspired by Native American Indians. I painted a totem pole going up all my fingers! I had an oddly difficult time posing my hand this way..
The base is Zoya Neely. For the totem pole I used China Glaze Mahogany Magic, Zoya Darcy, Arizona, Revlon Posh, Trendy, and China Glaze Red Satin.

33DC: Day 8

Hello! Today is day 8, and the prompt is chevrons! I may have went a little overboard... Originally I was just going to do this design on my ring finger and then do some larger simpler chevrons on my other fingers. Well, I ended really liking it, so I just went ahead and painted all my nails the same! I'm pretty glad that I did though, I think it looks neat.
I used Xtreme Wear Vibrant Violet, Raspberry Rave, Peach Beach, Coral Reef, Orly Lemonade, Essie Where's My Chauffeur?

33DC: Day 7

Hello! Day seven's prompt is to use your oldest untried. Funny enough, while I was browsing my collection I realized that I don't have any polishes that have never been used! Luckily I happened to be going shopping that day, and naturally I picked up a polish... or two. One of the colors I got is Revlon Elusive. Elusive has a black base with multi-sized teal glitter. It's really pretty in the bottle, not so much on the nail. The base is too black, so it smothers all the pretty glitter! This polish definitely needed some nail art over it. Since it's getting around Halloween time I decided to paint some creepy trees in all white. I suppose they could be creepier... my sister said they look wintery. I decided to use a matte top coat because it just made the manicure look so much better.
Here's the manicure glossy. Yuck!

33DC: Day 6

Day 6 is texture! I had a few things in mind for this, but I eventually decided that I really wanted to use a texture polish. My choices were a bit limited in this area though, because I only own one textured nail polish! I think they can be neat but most times I'm just not interested enough to buy them. The polish that I have is Zoya Vespa. I wanted to do a manicure with mixed finishes, so for the base I used a creme polish, Zoya Neely. I applied some striping tape then sponged Vespa onto the nail to created a sort of gradient effect. I actually like this manicure a lot more than I expected to. I really like how soft it is, but how it also has super shiny glitter.
The only bummer about this manicure is that the texture is unusually scratchy. I think it's because using the sponge sucked some of the liquid from the polish so just a lot of glitter is left over.

33DC: Day 5

Hello! Day 5 of the 33DC calls for Mexican inspired nails. For my Mexican nails I painted a pinata! I just went with a traditional donkey shaped pinata. My pointer and pinky are supposed to be like confetti.
The base is Xtreme Wear Violet Voltage. For the pinata I used Zoya Mira, Shelby, Arizona, Darcy, Josie, and Xtreme Wear Blinding Blue.
