Rainbow Pattern

Here's a fun bright rainbow design. Basically, I googled "simple pattern" and then this design came up and I figured I could paint it some how. I knew it was never going to look as clean as the source photo, obviously, but I thought it could still be a cool mani. I hand painted each little stripe and because there was no way they would be super neat with doing so, I just decided to roll with that look. I'm very happy with this, but it's definitely one of those mani's that is better from a distance.

Flowers Glitter Placement

For these nails I decided to do a floral pattern with a glitter placement. I wasn't sure how much I would like this look, so I decided to do a skittlette with single glitter flower accents. The pink is Xtreme Wear Social Butterfly and the cream is Zoya Jacqueline. For the glitters I pulled the green and gold from Spoiled Pet My Peacock, and the pink from China Glaze I'm A Go Glitter. As always with glitter placements using shiny glitter, the design can be difficult to see but looks cool regardless.

Sunset Galaxy

For some reason I had the urge to do a galaxy using sunset colors. To add a little interest I did a holo sharp chevron down the center. I didn't really like this as I was working on it, but I found that if you add enough stars and holo glitter, you can make any galaxy look good! It's a bit hard to tell, but the chevron is a gradient using Color Club Eternal Beauty, Miss Bliss, Cosmic Fate, and Kismet, and is outlined with Zoya Kiki. The galaxy is mostly China Glaze Mix and Mingle, China Glaze Giver's Theme, China Glaze Dune Our Thing, Zoya Thandie, and Zoya Darcy.

Crimson and Gold

Here is a red design I put together. This is a very rare thing because I typically don't like working with red and will only incorporate it into designs if I have to. The bases are Milani Red Label and Xtreme Wear Flirt. I used the gold flake glitter Zoya Maria-Luisa and did additional gold designs using China Glaze Champagne Bubbles.

Splatter Spikes

I love splatter nails but I find that there isn't a whole lot to really do with them design-wise, so this was my attempt at trying out a little bit more with the splatter look. I started with a subtle purple and blue gradient to make the other side a little interesting as well. I didn't have any chevron vinyls that were the width I wanted, so I ended up making my own by cutting a bunch of triangles out of tape to protect the gradient section  from the splatter and create this spiky look. I don't have a list of polishes used because I pretty much just grabbed any blues and purples that I thought would look good. I'm so happy with how this turned out and it makes me want to play around with splatter looks even more!

Chevrons Glitter Placement

This was my first time doing a chevron design like this with glitter placement and I'm very happy with the result! The only problem with doing a design in glitter, at least when using reflective glitter, is that it can be difficult to really get the full effect of the designs. I picked out glitter from Spoiled Pet My Peacock, Spoiled Shuffle The Deck and Milani Silver.

Galactic Ribbon

Hello, here is a sort of galaxy, but not really galaxy type of design! I wanted to do something a little different, so I added matching colored glitter on top of some of the galaxy instead of only using holos. The only polishes I can pinpoint are the "ribbon" ones; they are China Glaze Mix And Mingle, China Glaze Awaken, and OPI Your Royal Shine-ness.

Edgy Color Block

I've wanted to do a glitter placement type of design with Maybelline Gleaming Graphite for pretty much forever now, and I finally got decided to go through with it. I wasn't sure how it would end up looking but I love the result and individually placing each of those glitter shards wasn't nearly as painstaking as I had anticipated. As for the rest of the nail, I used China Glaze Mix And Mingle, China Glaze Dune Our Thing and the thin gunmetal stripes are Xtreme Wear Midnight Sky. I love how these turned out. I placed the glitter over negative space, but it might also look cool on top of a colored base as well. Also pardon all the fuzz on my nails in the first picture, I don't know how I missed that when I chose these photos but its driving my a little crazy.
