The Hunger Games- District 8

District 8 is the textile district. I couldn't wait to get to this district because it's the first one that is actually bright and colorful.

  

 

 accidentally nicked my thumb.

I googled " textiles and there were a lot of intricate designs, most of them had a lot of diamond shapes. I took inspiration from those pictures and did my own textile patterns. I painted an 8 for the district in a diamond shape. On the thumb I did a sewing needle and thread, which can be found on the districts seal.

I used Xtreme Wear Grey Area, Bubblegum Pink, Pacific Blue. Cherry Red, Lacey Lilac, Coral Reef, Zoya Mimi, Kiki, Color Club Twiggie, and China Glaze Millennium.
