It's the end of the year, which means that it's time to look back at some of the manicures that I've done throughout 2014. In no particular order, here are some of my favorite manicures from this past year.
Happy New Years Eve! Here is the manicure that I will be wearing to ring in the new year. The design is basically what I do every year, but this time I used only nail foils! I got some nail foils for Christmas and I thought that New Years would be the perfect time to test them out. I love the results and I thought that they were so fun to work with!
Hello! Here are some distressed nails that I did recently. I originally did them for the PNMC this week, but I forgot about them until it was too late! I used China Glaze Dune Our Thing, Capacity To See Beyond, and Feel The Breeze.
Hello! I'm a bit late with this, but here is the manicure that I wore on Christmas day. I used Xtreme Wear Golden-I and Celeb City for the bases. For everything else I pretty much just grabbed random polishes.
Here's a lovely Christmas Eve manicure which features a whole ton of candy canes! The green is LA Splash Greenery and the red is Nicole By OPI Challenge Red-Y. I hope everyone has a great holiday!
Hello! Today I'm wearing this fun gingerbread manicure! The base is Zoya Neely, and the darker green is Revlon Posh. The gingerbread men are China Glaze Mahogany Magic. I originally started painting designs on the smaller gingerbread men, but they looked a bit frightening, so I just kept them plain brown. I really love these, I feel like they look like they could be a wrapping paper or something!
Hello! Here's yet another swirly design. Thinking back on it, I wish I had done a lace pattern with these colors instead, but it's too late now! The base is China Glaze Frosty, one of my favorite polishes to use around this time of year.
For the PNMC this week I did the glitter topper prompt! For the base I used China Glaze One Track Mind. The gold is China Glaze Champagne Bubbles and the glitter topper is Xtreme Wear Set The Stage. The glitter in Set the Stage is very sparse, so in order to get full coverage, rather than applying a ton of thick coats, I sponged it on!
This weeks Pick N Mix prompt is my favorite design to paint, chevrons! The other prompt is also red and gold, so that's what I based my color scheme off of. I used China Glaze Cranberry Splash, China Glaze Champagne Bubbles, and Xtreme Wear Flirt.
Hello! Today I have some glitter placement! I've been meaning to use China Glaze Be Merry Be Bright for a while now, but I just wasn't sure what to do, then this idea came to me. The base is China Glaze New Birth. I kind of wish I used a more interesting base color, but this has grown on me a bit.
Hello! The prompt that I'm going for the Pick N Mix Challenge this week is dark green. The base is OPI Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow, and the glitter is China Glaze This Is Tree-Mendous. I really like this manicure, but boy was it a pain to photograph!
One of the prompts this week for the Pick N Mix Challenge is a brush stroke manicure. I'm not really a fan of most brush stroke nail art, so I decided to use the fan brush technique. The purple/blue is China Glaze Fancy Pants, and the pink is Xtreme Wear Pretty In Hot Pink.
One of the prompts for the Pick N Mix Challenge this week is books! I decided to do my nails based off of my copy of the book Dracula. The red is Nicole By OPI Challenge Red-y, and the silver is Essie No Place Like Chrome.
Hello! Today I have a fall colored criss cross pattern that, for the first time in forever, I actually free handed rather than used striping tape. For the base I used China Glaze Purr-fect Plum and the glitter is China Glaze I'm Not Lion. I can't remember the last time I used I'm Not Lion, so I really wanted to incorporate it in some way. Since the glitter is so dense I figured it would be great to do stripes with! I'm super happy with how this turned out, but the topcoat did have some air bubble issues.
Hi! Here's a leafy manicure that I did for the Fall. For the base I used China Glaze Foie Gras. For the leaves I used some of Zoya Darcy, Arizona, Josie, and China Glaze Red Satin.
