Some full moon nails, complete with howling wolf. I actually wanted these to be more Halloween-y than they ended up turning out. I used China Glaze One Track Mind, China Glaze Born To Rule, LA Splash Blowfish Blue, Xtreme Wear Dabbler, Xtreme Wear Pink-Grape Fruit, and Zoya Aspen.

Fun Fourth of July
These are the nails that I am sporting for the Fourth of July! This is one of the first times I've really painted fireworks, so I was nervous about how they would look, but I'm really happy with them! I added a bunch of glitter to and around them, which I think helps with the look a bit as well. For the middle nails I started off with a half moon and filled them in with blue stars. Then, I individually placed each line of glitter to separate the stars from the stripes, which I later added with the help of striping tape. I really love these nails and they're definitely my favorite Independence Day nails that I've ever done. The blue is Zoya Dream and the red is Zoya Blaze. The glitters were pulled from Color Club Wish Upon A Rock Star.

Half Moon Galaxy
Hello! I absolutely love today's manicure. For the galaxy I used China Glaze Fresh Prince-ss, Xtreme Wear Raspberry Rave, Color Club Biscuits & Jam, China Glaze Royal Hue and China Glaze Tart-y For The Party. For some holo glitter I used Nicole By OPI Let's Make a Comet-ment, and Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond. The silver outline is OPI Your Royal Shine-Ness.

Half Moon Dotticure
Hello! Today I have a half moon mani. I got this design from a pattern on a napkin, and I think it's pretty neat. The colors ended up blending together a lot more than I had wanted, which is a bummer because it makes it really difficult to see the design. I really like this design, so I'll probably have to do it again, but with different colors, eventually. I used Color Club Macaroon Swoon, Color Club Vintage Couture, and Zoya Cole.

Lace Half Moon Design
This is my first attempt at doing a lace pattern. I didn't base it directly off of anything, so I'm not sure if I really captured the look of lace. I hope you're able to see the details of the design, as the camera kind of washed out the colors and made them blend together more. The pink base is Color Club Kiss My French.

China Glaze Choo-Choo Choose You
I recently picked up China Glaze Choo-Choo Choose You, and I've been dying to try it out. I wanted to use it in some nail art, but I also still wanted to be able to see a lot of the color, so I just did a simple half moon using Orly Rage. Choo-Choo Choose You is a dusty greyish purple with crazy duochromatic shimmer in it. I originally bought this polish mostly just for the name, so I'm glad I ended up loving the color so much!

July TPC: Day 4
It's the last day of the Tri-Polish Challenge for the month of July! The colors this month were blue, blue, and green. The polishes that I used were Zoya Josie, OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, and Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue. For my last manicure this month I just did a simple half moon manicure with some dots outlining it. If you aren't too great with making clean lines, this is a great way to cover up any sort of wiggles in your half moon, and it's super cute as well!

April TPC: Day 1
Hello! The Tri-Polish Challenge is back! This month the colors are pink, orange, and turquoise. For my polishes I chose Xtreme Wear Pretty In Hot Pink, Zoya Arizona, and Essie Where's My Chauffeur?. This is the design that I came up with, it's a sort of funky half moon I guess!

31 Day Challenge II: Half Moon
Today is day 18! We're getting pretty close to the end of the patterns section! Today's pattern is half moon. For my design I painted lines of varying lengths to create a half moon shape. For the lines I altered between Essie No Place Like Chrome, and Good As Gold. The base is Zoya Izzy.

Half Moon and Beyond
This is my 300th post! Wow! That sure is a lot. For my manicure today I really wanted to do a half moon. But I didn't want to just do just a plain old half moon, I wanted to add a little something to it. So I put a sort of netting looking design above the mooon curve. I love how this turned out! The colors remind me of The Hunchback Of Notre Dame for some reason. I think the hardest part about this manicure was getting the angle right on the lines when making the crossed lines.

Yesterday's Matted
I loved yesterday's manicure, but I was getting a little bored with it. To spice up my day old manicure I put a matte top coat on! I usually like to try looks as both glossy and matte when the polishes I used are naturally matte.

This is Zoya Dovima and Savita. The Stars are Kleancolor Blind Date.

A Starry Half Moon
After a ton of dud manicures this past week, I finally came up with something that I actually really like! I was sitting in class the other day and the idea for this just popped into my head. It turned out even better than I had anticipated.
For all the times I've used Dovima I finally have a swatch of it in it's natural matte stage. But here's the manicure...
I used Zoya Dovima, and Zoya Savita. The stars are from KleanColor Blind Date.

31 Day Challenge: Day 18
Day 18 is Half Moons
I did these Half Moons freehand, but you can use paper reinforcements to keep the curve crisp and even. I'm not patient enough to wait for the base coat to dry before applying the reinforcements, which causes the polish to peel off when you remove the sticker, which is why I don't do them that way.
This is Zoya Charla, Dannii, and Apple.
I added a little crescent moon glitter to each nail using a pumpkin nail polish from Rite Aid, sadly it doesn't have a name.

Half Moon
My first half moon manicure! I wasn't a big fan of that particular design to begin with, but I thought I would give it a shot, and now I'm in love! I went ahead and made a actual half moon. The blue as the night sky, and the gold as the cresting moon.
For the gold I used China Glaze Midnight Kiss, and the blue Xtreme Wear Blue It.
