Easter Eggs

Happy Easter! This is what I'm wearing this year. Unfortunately I waited until the last possible moment to paint these, so they aren't quite what I had wanted, but the chicky sure is cute.

Royal Blue and Holo Chevron

This was difficult to capture on camera but it was so pretty in person; the holo looked awesome. I used China Glaze Born To Rule, the holo is Color Club Crystal Baller, and I added detail with Xtreme Wear Celeb City.

Mini Chevrons

For this one I used China Glaze Cutie Mark The Spot, China Glaze Too Much of A Good Fling, Xtreme Wear Tickled Pink, Color Club Diggin' The Dancing Queen, China Glaze Kill 'Em With Kindness, and Color Club Meet Me At The Rink.

Jewel Toned Chevrons Skittlette

I really wanted to use these three colors together, but I had no idea what to do with them, so I ended up with this. I used China Glaze Street style Princess, China Glaze Dawn of A New Reign, and China Glaze Jagged Little Teal.

Gradiented Chevrons Skittlette

This mani was inspired by a phone wallpaper I came across a while ago. To do this, I first did the gradient and then I made some chevron decals with vinyls and a silicone mat and applied them individually. My pointer is Essie Mint Candy Apple and my pinky is China Glaze Giver's Theme. On top of the gradient I used Xtreme Wear Disco Ball and Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond. 

Sunset Galaxy

 For some reason I had the urge to do a galaxy using sunset colors. To add a little interest I did a holo sharp chevron down the center. I didn't really like this as I was working on it, but I found that if you add enough stars and holo glitter, you can make any galaxy look good! It's a bit hard to tell, but the chevron is a gradient using Color Club Eternal Beauty, Miss Bliss, Cosmic Fate, and Kismet, and is outlined with Zoya Kiki. The galaxy is mostly China Glaze Mix and Mingle, China Glaze Giver's Theme, China Glaze Dune Our Thing, Zoya Thandie, and Zoya Darcy.

Chevrons Glitter Placement

This was my first time doing a chevron design like this with glitter placement and I'm very happy with the result! The only problem with doing a design in glitter, at least when using reflective glitter, is that it can be difficult to really get the full effect of the designs. I picked out glitter from Spoiled Pet My Peacock, Spoiled Shuffle The Deck and Milani Silver.

Sunset Stripe

 Hello! I'm loving today's nails, and that's really all I have to say about them. The light pink is China Glaze Fresh Prince-ss and the gradient is China Glaze Giver's Theme, China Glaze Dune Our Thing, Zoya Thandie, and Zoya Darcy.

Pointed Chevron and Stripes

Here's a simple design that I threw together to play with some new polishes that I got.The white is Zoya Aspen, the pink is China Glaze Fresh Prince-ss, and the purple is China Glaze Tart-y For The Party.

Anchors Away

 I did a manicure just like this last year, and I liked it, except I was really unhappy with the quality. I did basically the same thing again, but I added a few more elements to make is more interesting this time. I used Zoya Cole, OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, and China Glaze One Track Mind. I also matted this, which I actually didn't really like in person, but I think it looks much better on camera than the glossy did.

Tape Designs and Sponging

 Here's a random one that I did just because I got new makeup sponges and I really wanted to do a ton of sponging. I used Color Club Diggin' The Dancing Queen, Color Club Meet Me At The Ice Rink, and Xtreme Wear Perfect Pear-ing. I used gold striping tape and the color bled onto the white lines and made the nails look all gunky, unfortunately.

Broken Stripes

For this design I did a random gradient base using China Glaze Rain Dance The Night Away, China Glaze Let's Jam, and China Glaze Boho Blues, with a light coat of Nicole By OPI Lets's Make A Comet-Ment on top. The stripes are Xtreme Wear Midnight Sky.

Splatter Chevrons

I saw a design similar to this on Pinterest a little while ago, and because I love splatter and chevron, I decided to try it out. I used Zoya Tiana, Color Club Hot Hot Hot Pants, and Color Club Macaroon Swoon. I think it's kind of neat, but I wish I had used some bolder colors.

Matte Sharp Chevrons

Today I broke out some Zoya matte nail polishes. I used Zoya Aspen, Yves, and Honor. It does look a little rough though, because I didn't use any type of topcoat; I wanted this manicure to have the matte polishes' true finish, and this wouldn't have been possible even with a matte topcoat.

Muted Easter Nails

I ended up posting this a lot later than anticipated, so there will technically be two different designs going up today on Easter. For this Easter design I decided to use more subtle and muted colors than I typically would for this time of year. I also did freehand chevrons for the first time in ages! As usual, they were a pain to get to look decent, but I still loved painting them. I used Zoya Caitlin, Megan, Kristen, and Xtreme Wear Orchid Around.

Burgundy Chevrons and Star Studs

Hello! I thought with this one I would try placing studs in a bit of a different place for once, so I came up with this. I used China Glaze Purrr-Fect, OPI DS Extravagance, and the gold is OPI Golden Rules!.

 

Vampy Sharp Chevrons

I know that I said that I was sick of chevrons, but my excuse is that these are very different from the other chevron designs I've done recently. The gold is China Glaze Midnight Kiss, and the glitter is Sinful Colors Decadent. This style is definitely a change from what I normally do, but I quite like it!

Pink and Orange Chevron Skittlette

More chevrons for today! Just like with my last manicure, I still had some tape left over that I wanted to use up. This is the last of this style of chevron for a while though, I'm a bit chevroned out now. I used Essie Go Overboard, Zoya Cole, and Xtreme Wear Tickled Pink.

 

Chevrons and Floral

Hello! It's another chevron centered manicure for today. I had a lot of chevron tape left over from my last manicure, and since I took the time to carefully cut it all, I didn't want to let it go to waste. The green is Zoya Tiana, and I used three pinks, Xtreme Wear All Bright, Zoya Shelby, and Xtreme Wear Tickled Pink.
