Sunset Watermarble

 For my 1000th post I have this lovely watermarble using sunset colors. The polishes are China Glaze Born To Rule, Color Club Biscuits & Jam, China Glaze Glow With The Flow, China Glaze None of Your Risky Business, and China Glaze Werk It Honey!

Warm And Bright Watermarble

 Here's a bright and summery striped watermarble. I used China Glaze Bite Me, China Glaze Lip Smackin', China Glaze None of Your Risky Business, and Color Club Disco's Not Dead.

Triple Water Spotting

I've done a double water spotting before, but this is my first time doing triple! It was actually supposed to be a double, but I wasn't thrilled with the look, so I added a layer of white spotting. The base is Xtreme Wear Daycream, Color Club Feathered Hair Out To There, and China Glaze Lip Smackin' Good smoosh marbled. For the spotting I used Zoya Lillian, Color Club Teal For Two and a white.

Double Water Spotting on Teal

I absolutely love water spotting nails; they are so quick and simple but look incredible. For these I did a gradient using China Glaze What I Like About Blue, China Glaze One Polished Pony, China Glaze Too Much of a Good Fling, China Glaze Cutie Mark The Spot, and China Glaze Groovy Green; for the spots I used a white and China Glaze Dawn of a New Reign.

Marbled Jack O' Lanterns

For my first spooky nails of the year, I decided to paint something I haven't done in quite a while, jack o lanterns. To mix these up a little bit, I started with a stripey orange watermarble base. I love the little peak of marble, but I do wish I had done the stripes vertical. The marble is China Glaze None of Your Risky Business, China Glaze Roguish Red, OPI A Roll In The Hague, Zoya Darcy and Color Club Disco's Not Dead.

Partial Watermarble

 Here's a little manicure I did to do something a little bit different with watermarble than I usually do. Typically, I always find the marble too cool to mess with and I always just end up leaving it be as a fully marbled mani. For this, I mainly used Xtreme Wear Tickled Pink, Xtreme Wear Jam Sesh, Xtreme Wear Orchid Around, and Xtreme Wear Royal Hue.

Vertical Stripe Watermarble

I wanted to go a little bit out of my comfort zone with this watermarble; we have red, a color I hardly wear, shimmery polishes, which I also don't wear a lot and never marble with, and a design pattern that is completely new to me. Despite all of this, I ended up loving the outcome! I used Zoya Cyma, China Glaze Awaken, and a black polish.

Cool Waves Watermarble

Since my last Pastel Watermarble, I got into a little marbling groove and ended up putting this design together. This was initially going to be a full rainbow, but I couldn't get my oranges and reds to cooperate in the water, so I just decided to omit them completely. For this marble I used China Glaze What a Pansy, Xtreme Wear Royal Hue, China Glaze Rain Dance The Night Away, Xtreme Wear Hustle Up, and Color Club Disco's Not Dead.

Pastel Swirl Watermarble

Here's a fun pastel watermarble using a design that is completely new to me. I was inspired to do this swirl technique when I saw this tutorial by SloppySwatches. The only nail I was really able to capture the full swirl effect on was my ring finger, but I do think the others turned out well enough. I used China Glaze Tart-y For The Party, Xtreme Wear Babe Blue, Xtreme Wear Perfect Pear-ing, Color Club Disco's Not Dead, and China Glaze Fresh Prince-ss. I can't believe this is the first time I've marbled with all of these types of colors together; this is such a popular color scheme.

Sunshine Swirl Watermarble

After my last highly successful watermarble, I wanted to do some more, so I decided on this summery swirl design. I used Color Club Disco's Not Dead, 'Til The Record Stops, and Meet Me At The Rink. I initially tested this with more colors, but the polish was drying too fast in the water, so I stuck with just these three. I wish I had done more tests though because this marble would have been a lot better if I added a few brighter colors to break up the pastels since they ended up blending together so much.

Watermelon Watermarble

Today I have a fun stripe watermarble. I try to experiment with watermarble designs a bit, but I always end up going back to the stripes because its the most simple and consistent design to do. I used Zoya Cecilia, Color Club 'Til The Record Stops, Color Club Disco's Not Dead, Color Club Biscuits & Jam, and China Glaze Fresh Prince-ss. These polishes worked together in the water so well, and I'm super happy with how this manicure ended up!

Watermarble Skittlette

I was going to do a full manicure of watermarble, but these polishes were not working well in the water, so I took what I could get and went with a skittlette instead. I used China Glaze Plur-Ple, Color Club Diggin' The Dancing Queen, and Color Club Hot Hot Hot Pants.

Sunset Double Water Spotting

For the base I did a corner gradient using Xtreme Wear Purple Craze, Vibrant Violet, Raspberry Rave, For Sher-Bert, Red Rebel, and Sunny Side. My white polish is getting a bit thick, so it wasn't spotting nicely. I finally got a design that I was somewhat happy with, but when I put on topcoat the yellow bled into the white. Luckily, it looks more subtle on camera than in real life. I also used a better smelling spray to create the spotting this time, so it ended up actually being quite pleasant to have stuck on my hand for five days.

Here's the gradient before the water spotting. It's all bumpy looking because there's not topcoat, but I still wanted to get a picture because I think these polishes blend so well and the colors are really pretty together.

Teal and Purple Watermarble

Today I tried to do a watermarble that wasn't just stripes, which are a design that I always default to when marbling. I used China Glaze Let's Jam, China Glaze Sweet Hook, China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle, and China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint.

Double Water Spotted

Recently I tried out double water spotting with black and white. I loved the result and ended up wearing this for like a week. Underneath the spotting I did a radial gradient using Color Club Macaroon Swoon, Color Club Hot Hot Hot Pants, Color Club Diggin' The Dancing Queen, and China Glaze Let's Jam. Over that I did a light coat of Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond.  The only thing I had to create the spotting effect is some old Bath and Body Works body splash, so my hands reeked of coconut for days.

Blues and Purples Watermarble

I recently did another watermarble! I feel like all my watermarbles end up looking exactly the same. I think the main issue I face when watermarbling is that my polishes spread out too much and the colors end up really light. I used China Glaze Let's Jam, China Glaze Plur-Ple, China Glaze Boho Blues, and Xtreme Wear Royal Hue.

Burst Watermarble: Second Attempt

 Today I decided to take another stab at the burst marble. It went about as well as my last attempt, if not worse, but at least the colors look pretty. I used China Glaze Giver's Theme, China Glaze Capacity To See Beyond, and Xtreme Wear Royal Hue. Obviously, I had a lot of trouble lining it up in the center of my nail, but that was hardly my biggest problem with all the grief these polishes gave me.

Burst Watermarble

 This is my first attempt at a burst watermarble! It didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped, but I think I know of a few mistakes that I made, which I can try to fix for next time. I used Xtreme Wear Pop Chart, Xtreme Wear Tickled Pink, Essie Power Clutch, and Color Club Lady Holiday.

Spring Swirl Watermarble

Today I have another watermarble! I wanted to play with some new polishes I'd gotten and try some different designs in the water. I used Xtreme Wear Orchid Around, Xtreme Wear Royal Hue, and OPI You're Such A Budapest. These polishes worked so well in the water, probably the best combination I've ever had!

Lemonade Watermarble

I was a little short on time this week, so I decided to do a watermarble. I think that when you find a good combination of polishes that work well together watermarbling can actually be a really quick way to get a cool design. This was supposed to be 'lemonade' themed, but in the water the pinks merged with the yellows and became more of a coral color. I used Xtreme Wear All Bright, Xtreme Wear Tickled Pink, Orly Lemonade, and Zoya Darcy.
