Jewel Toned Chevrons Skittlette

I really wanted to use these three colors together, but I had no idea what to do with them, so I ended up with this. I used China Glaze Street style Princess, China Glaze Dawn of A New Reign, and China Glaze Jagged Little Teal.

Witchy

These are my first ever witch nails! I've always had trouble coming up with witch designs, so I made these pretty simple. I used China Glaze None Of Your  Risky Business, China Glaze Lip Smackin' Good, and China Glaze Let's Jam.

Abstract Geometric Skittlette

It's actually pretty rare that I wear nails that are this bright, so this was definitely a fun one to wear, and stare at, for a few days. Every aspect of this manicure I came up with on the fly, so in hindsight, there are some parts of the design that I'm unhappy with. This is also entirely freehand, which makes it a "better from afar" look, but regardless, I am still fond of the overall effect. I used China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes, China Glaze Let's Jam, China Glaze Boho Blues, and Orly Lemonade. I seriously love these polishes, but I typically stay away from them because I find that they can be difficult to accurately capture on camera, however this one went pretty well!

Sophisticated Skittlette

Other than picking the colors, I didn't really pre-plan for this manicure at all; I just sat down and started piecing a design together as I painted. The black is China Glaze Haunting and the light blue that I used is an unlabeled bottle of Essie, however after a quick google search, I think it may be called Who Is The Boss; at least that's my best guess.

Spacey Chevrons

 Similar to my last chevron mani, this was also inspired by a phone wallpaper I found. This was also done using the same technique of making and applying chevron decals. Because I made the black chevron decals with glitter, they were a little too thick and and made the manicure pretty bumpy. With all the different layers of polish and glitter, these nails were quite thick overall and I just couldn't stand to wear them for very long, although they do look pretty.

Glitter Placement: China Glaze I'm A Go Glitter

Hello, today I have another glitter placement manicure! This time for the glitter I pulled from China Glaze I'm A Go Glitter. The base is Essie Hide And Go Chic.

China Glaze Point Me To The Party

 Here's a manicure a did while playing around with the new glitter China Glaze Point Me To The Party. The neons that I used are Color Club I Always Get My Man-Darin, The Lime Starts Here, Wicked Sweet, and Raspberry Rush. The glitter in Point Me To The Party is pretty sparse, so in order to help with the application I first applied the glitter to a sponge so it would suck up a lot of the excess clear polish, then I dabbed the sponge onto my nails to get a nice full coating. Other than application issues, this glitter is pretty awesome.

Glitter Placed Borders

Hello! Today I have some glitter placement! I've been meaning to use China Glaze Be Merry Be Bright for a while now, but I just wasn't sure what to do, then this idea came to me. The base is China Glaze New Birth. I kind of wish I used a more interesting base color, but this has grown on me a bit.

China Glaze Choo-Choo Choose You

I recently picked up China Glaze Choo-Choo Choose You, and I've been dying to try it out. I wanted to use it in some nail art, but I also still wanted to be able to see a lot of the color, so I just did a simple half moon using Orly Rage. Choo-Choo Choose You is a dusty greyish purple with crazy duochromatic shimmer in it. I originally bought this polish mostly just for the name, so I'm glad I ended up loving the color so much!

GOT Polish Challenge: Green

 Hello! For today's GOT we are going green! My golden oldie polish that I used is China Glaze Four Leaf Clover. This is a really gorgeous green, but it's absolutely impossible for me to capture the color on camera, which is the main reason why I never wear it. My photos are as close as I could get, but still pretty far off. The actual color is more green than this, but does still have a hint of blue. Over top Four Leaf Clover I painted a filigree design with black acrylic paint, then I used Esse Matte About You to take away the shine! I love this manicure, it's a shame I can't show what it looks like in reality, but the photos still look nice...

GOT Polish Challenge: Stripes

 Hello! The second week of the GOT challenge calls for stripes. For my stripe manicure I only used one polish, China Glaze Ahoy! I've loved this polish since I got it, but I've barely used it because my camera has a hard time accurately portraying the color. My stripes were done by using two different finishes, matte and glossy. All I did was lay down some striping tape and then paint Essie Matte About You over top. It's a little rough looking in some spots, but I think the overall effect is pretty neat.

China Glaze Happy Holiglaze: Glitter Toppers

Hi! Today I'm showing a few polishes from the recent Happy Holiglaze collection from China Glaze. In the collection there are three glitter topper nail polishes, and of course I had to have them.

Your Present Required has a bunch of different colored and size glitters. This includes gold, copper, silver, blue, green, pink, and white glitter. To my surprise, I only needed one coat to sufficiently cover my nails! I had some trouble picking underwear for this polishes, so I ended up settling for black, it's pretty, but not exactly festive.

Bells Will Be Blinging has a ton of small blue glitter. It also has some round gold glitter and stout holographic bar glitter. I used one coat on a dark blue and a black.

Be Merry Be Bright has two sizes of both pink and purple glitter. It's very pretty, I used one coat over Zoya Julie.

Overall the formulas were really good, nothing was too goopy or anything, and each polish is packed with glitter. I definitely think these polishes are better suited as toppers, but, with enough coats, I'm sure you could wear them alone.

33DC: Day 25

Day 25 says to try out a new technique. First and foremost, I have this amazing nail polish to talk about! China Glaze It's A Trap-Eze came out nearly a year ago, but I only just got it last month, I'm a bit behind, I know. This polish has multi-sized rainbow glitter in a milky base. It's so beautiful!! It's jam packed with glitter so there's no problem getting it to sufficiently cover the nail.

But wait, what's this?!

 Nail polish on the underside?!? The new technique I tried out was the Louboutin manicure. It's something I've been meaning to give a try for a while, and finally my nails are long enough! I was going to originally use a brighter pink but It's A Trap-Eze isn't that opaque and I didn't want the color to show through. The light pink that I did use is Color Club Vintage Couture. Im not huge on this one... At least the glitter's pretty!

33DC: Day 17

Hello! The prompt for today is to do artwork featuring your favorite brand. I really like a bunch of brands of nail polish, but my favorite is definitely China Glaze. I was originally going to do some crazy design using a ton of different colors. Somehow I settled on the idea of just using one instead, and I'm really glad that I did! The red is China Glaze Red Satin.

China Glaze Monster's Ball: My Picks

Hello! It's been a really long time since I've done any swatches! Today I have two from China Glaze's Halloween collection, Monsters Ball. Of course the only polishes I picked up from this collection were the glitter toppers. I ended up liking them way more than I expected to!

Boo-Gie Down has a mix of white, orange, and black glitters that all vary in size. There are also some long skinny black bar glitters. The orange is also a bit on the copper side. I was surprised by how much I actually like this polish! The glitter is very dense, so it doesn't take a lot to get good coverage. My swatch is about 1.5 coats, haha. I had a really hard finding good underwear for this polish! After a few failed attempts I ended up liking it over Zoya Neely (green), and Xtreme Wear Wet Cement (grey).

Fang-Tastic has jewel toned green, blue, pink, and purple glitter. Again, the formula was really smooth. The glitters were less dense in this polish, but you could get away with one coat depending on how much coverage you like your glitter toppers to have. All my fingers are two coats, except my ring finger, which is one. Personally I preferred this over lighter colors. I swatched it over white, Zoya Blu, and Zoya Neely.
