Now that 2017 is over, it's time to reflect on some of my favorite manicures that I did throughout the year. In no particular order, they are...

Half Moon Galaxy

Love Letter

Mandala

 Fun Fourth of July

 Gradiented Chevrons Skittlette

 Sparkling Mermaid Scales

Arctic Fractals

 Burgundy and Greys Fall Skittle

Witchy

 Princess Smoosh Marble

New Year 2018

Hello everyone, happy New Year! This is the first year ever that I did something other than just painting the new year across each of my fingers. The base is Zoya Storm, and I also used China Glaze Champagne Bubbles, Essie No Place Like Chrome, and Xtreme Wear Celeb City; the holo glitters are China Glaze Disco Ball Drop.

Quatrefoil Christmas

I'm cutting it really close with these final Christmas designs! For this one I used Xtreme Wear With The Beet, Xtreme Wear Drop The Beet, Xtreme Wear Golden-I. For the quatrefoil I used Whats Up Nails nail vinyls and freehanded the rest. This was also one that I had to check out in matte.

Ornaments Christmas Skittlette

This is such an odd design. I don't really know how any of these nails fit together but I do think the overall effect still works somehow. I also think this may be the first time I've ever really painted ornaments, so that's fun.

Scroll Christmas Tree

Today's Christmas nails are pretty simple. I freehand painted this accent nail scroll work tree and then did a very easy gradient to finish out the rest of the nails. The dark green base is OPI Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow, then  I used the green scattered holo Zoya Merida for the tree and gradient. On top of those greens I added some gold glitter with China Glaze Blonde Bombshell, and topped off the tree with a star using China Glaze Midnight Kiss.

Glitter Placed Snowflake

This manicure is a little disappointing for me. I thought a glitter placed snowflake would be right up my alley, but it ended up being a little too tedious and in the end, it's nearly impossible to see the full effect of the snowflakes. I the base is a random gradient of Xtreme Wear Royal Hue, China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le, China Glaze Boho Blues, China Glaze New Birth, and Color Club Holy Chic!; for the glitters I picked from Color Club Orna-Minted.

Peppermint Warmth

Today I'm wearing some hot chocolate and peppermint on my nails. This is oddly specific, but I don't like painting drinks, so I thought these would end up a disaster, however I think they're super cute and I'm really pleased. I used  Revlon Posh, China Glaze Cutie Mark The Spot, Milani Red Label, Color Club Feathered Hair Out To There, and a little bit of Revlon Hot For Chocolate.

Snowflake Hexagons

This is my first holiday mani of the year! I love this one! I can't remember where I got the inspiration for this from, whether it was a wrapping paper or a manicure I saw on Instagram, but I know it was something!

Deep Purple Rose Skittlette

This one's pretty self explanatory; I just wanted to paint some dark purple floral. I used Xtreme Wear Painted Lady, China Glaze Mix and Mingle, China Glaze Tart-y For The Party, China Glaze Let's Jam, OPI Your're Such A Budapest, Xtreme Wear Green Thumb, Zoya Wyatt, and Essie Navigate Her.

Lacey Stiletto

This is my first time doing a stiletto design; in fact, I only just recently discovered the actual name for it! For my stiletto I started off with a dark tinted base and did a slight lacey design over it in black. The only polish I used is that beautiful burgundy, Xtreme Wear Pep-Plum. I really love these nails; they are very different from what I normally wear but I think they're awesome. Unfortunately, they were difficult to photograph, but hopefully they come across alright enough.

Jewel Toned Chevrons Skittlette

I really wanted to use these three colors together, but I had no idea what to do with them, so I ended up with this. I used China Glaze Street style Princess, China Glaze Dawn of A New Reign, and China Glaze Jagged Little Teal.

Smooshed Leaves

This will be my last super fall manicure for the season and soon enough we'll be on to holiday nails! I can't wait; this is usually my favorite time of the year in general, but especially for nail art. For these leaves I did a smoosh marble over a nail vinyl and once they dried, I placed each leaf on my nail individually. I used China Glaze Foie Gras, Essie Miss Fancy Pants, Zoya Darcy, Zoya Cole, Zoya Arizona, Essie Navigate Her, Color Club Macaroon Swoon, and NOPI Challenge Red-Y.

For this one I used Xtreme Wear Heavy Metal, Xtreme Wear Retro Grade, Xtreme Wear Coral Reef, Xtreme Wear Peach Beach, Xtreme Wear Caribbean Coral, Essie Sunday Funday, Essie Haute As Hello, Essie Navigate Her, Color Club Hot-Hot-Hot Pants, and Zoya Arizona.

Leaves and Argyle

Another fall design for today! I haven't done argyle in a while and I thought it was a good time to do so. I used China Glaze First Mate, China Glaze Mahogany Magic, China Glaze Foie Gras, Zoya Kristen, and Essie Miss Fancy Pants.

Floral and Plaid

This manicure is a bit of an odd one. I wanted to try out a different technique for plaid, which worked pretty well, however the color combination is not working for me at all. I do love the floral nails though! I probably should have gone back and redone my right two nails to improve the overall mani, but it's too late now.
