I wish the details of the splatters were more prominent on this one since I spent so much time splatter each finger individually but I still dig it.

Splatter Drips
Since my Splatter Spikes, I've been thinking up even more ways to use the splatter look and this time I decided on drips. I don't know why, but I decided to do a bit of a watermelon look, so I went with green drips and a pink gradient. First I did the gradient, then placed drip vinyls on top and did the splatter. I think this might have been cooler in a different color scheme, but I do think this is cute.

Splatter Spikes
I love splatter nails but I find that there isn't a whole lot to really do with them design-wise, so this was my attempt at trying out a little bit more with the splatter look. I started with a subtle purple and blue gradient to make the other side a little interesting as well. I didn't have any chevron vinyls that were the width I wanted, so I ended up making my own by cutting a bunch of triangles out of tape to protect the gradient section from the splatter and create this spiky look. I don't have a list of polishes used because I pretty much just grabbed any blues and purples that I thought would look good. I'm so happy with how this turned out and it makes me want to play around with splatter looks even more!

Honeycomb
I'm not a big fan of wearing a lot of yellow on my nails, so to make the base a little more interesting I added some subtle splatter using Orly Lemonade, Zoya Jacqueline, Zoya Cole, Zoya Darcy, and Color Club Hot Hot Hot Pant. I started on my ring finger, initially painting the design in a
different direction, but I thought it looked more like fishnet than
honeycomb, so I switched it for the rest of the nails. The color choice was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I ended up loving these.

Jawbreaker Splatter
It's a splatter design for today. This time I tried to make sure there was more of a speckled look, rather than big splats all across the nail, and I think it's a nice effect. I used China Glaze Treble Maker, China Glaze Grass Is Lime Greener, China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle, China Glaze Boho Blues, China Glaze Plur-Ple, and China Glaze Glow With The Flow. I was kind of careless when splattering, so I ended up making a pretty big mess on my hand.

Splatter Chevrons
I saw a design similar to this on Pinterest a little while ago, and because I love splatter and chevron, I decided to try it out. I used Zoya Tiana, Color Club Hot Hot Hot Pants, and Color Club Macaroon Swoon. I think it's kind of neat, but I wish I had used some bolder colors.

Splatter Nails
It seems like it's been a little while since I've done any splatter manicures. Splatter can be incredibly messy, but I still love doing them. Not to mention, it's a very quick and easy way to get a cool looking design. I used China Glaze Plur-Ple, China Glaze Glow With The Flow, and Essie Vibrant Vibes.

Warm Toned Splatter
Hi! Today I have a splatter mani! It's been a while since I did any kind of splatter, and it used to be one of my favorite techniques, so I really wanted to try it again. It's really easy for me to go overboard when doing splatter, so I tried to concentrate on not getting any humungous blobs of polish on the nail. I'm very happy with the result; I love the colors! The base is Zoya Jacqueline. For the splatter I used Xtreme Wear Razz-Berry, China Glaze Giver's Theme, and Zoya Thandie.

Bloody Crime Scene
Hello! Today I have another Halloween manicure! I decided to go ahead and do a bloody crime scene splatter manicure. It's certainly not the most original idea, but I love doing splatter manicures anyway. I used two reds, China Glaze Merry Berry, and Red Satin. I also added some police tape to make it look like a crime scene. The tape is Zoya Darcy.

New31DC : Day 11
Hello! Today calls for splatter nails! I love doing splatter nails, so I was pretty excited for this day! I did them by putting polish on one end of a straw and quickly blowing out the other. It's kinda easy to go overboard with this kind of mani, so that's something to watch out for! I think this is the first time I used a colored base.
The base is Zoya Lara. I splattered on Zoya Wednesday, Color Club Winter Affair (gold), and Xtreme Wear Black Out.

31 Day Challenge II: Blue Nails
Day 5 of the 31 Day Challenge calls for blue nails! I really couldn't settle on a design for this one.
Eventually I decided to just do a splatter manicure using just a handful of blues. I've grown to love splatter manicures. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but once I did I found them to be pretty simple. Also, despite being fairly messy, and a tad wasteful, I love seeing how all the excess polish splattered onto the paper. I started off with a white base, Xtreme Wear White On, and then I pretty much just closed my eyes and grabbed polishes. That being said, I have no ideas what specific colors I'm wearing..

Through The Decades- 80s
Today's Through The Decades post is the 80s! I was most excited for this because I absolutely love the 80s and so wish I was alive during this decade more than any other. I think that the 80s is very much recognized for its wonderfully awful fashion. So, to channel that aspect of the 80's I did a splatter manicure. I know I've definitely seen some outfits with paint splatter designs from this time period.

My lovely unintentional masterpiece
I also did the same splatter over a black base just for fun, here is a crummy picture of it!
I used China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away, Twisted Pink, and Mellow Yellow over a white and black bases.

Splatter Success!
This is my first successful splatter manicure! I've had this color combination in mind for a while, and was really excited when I thought to put it in a splatter manicure. Splatters are really neat, but boy are they a pain to do. They are extremely messy, so be prepared for some massive cleanup. Also the polish on the nail was extremely thick for me. I guess practice makes perfect! I can't wait to try out more of these!
I did this manicure today to participate in Splatterday, such an adorable name, which a bunch of lovely blogging ladies came up with.

The masterpiece I made during the process. Can't help but feel I wasted a lot of polish.
I used Xtreme Wear Coral Reef, The Real Teal, Orly Royal Navy, and China Glaze For Audrey
