Headphones Inspired

I recently got a new pair of headphones and the ear buds had this cute design on it that I thought would make a good nail look. For the gradients I used China Glaze Glow With The Flow, China Glaze Feel The Breeze, China Glaze Metro-Pollen Tin, and Zoya Darcy. The blues are China Glaze One Track Mind and China Glaze Capacity To See Beyond.

Tape Designs and Sponging

Here's a random one that I did just because I got new makeup sponges and I really wanted to do a ton of sponging. I used Color Club Diggin' The Dancing Queen, Color Club Meet Me At The Ice Rink, and Xtreme Wear Perfect Pear-ing. I used gold striping tape and the color bled onto the white lines and made the nails look all gunky, unfortunately.

Pastel Triangles

This might be my last manicure before I go full on holiday themed. It's just another simple tape design. I laid down some striping tape to make a triangle pattern and then I just randomly sponged on the colors. I used OPI You're Such A Budapest, Essie Mint Candy Apple, and Zoya Cole.

Pink and Grey Metallic

There's not much to say about this manicure, expect that I was just playing around with polishes! The only thing is that it's a little too similar in style to my last mani, which I only realized after I had finished it. The pink is Xtreme Wear Pink Satin, the grey is China Glaze Awaken, and the glitter is Orly Atomic Splash.

Matte Cheetah Print + Gradient

Hello! It's been a little while since I've really done any animal print. I was really in the mood for more neutral colors with this one, so I went for some taupes. The purple is Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac and the taupe colors are Essie Miss Fancy Pants and China Glaze Foie Gras. I wore this glossy for about a day, but I just knew it would look much better matted.

Chevrons and Floral

Hello! It's another chevron centered manicure for today. I had a lot of chevron tape left over from my last manicure, and since I took the time to carefully cut it all, I didn't want to let it go to waste. The green is Zoya Tiana, and I used three pinks, Xtreme Wear All Bright, Zoya Shelby, and Xtreme Wear Tickled Pink.

Double Gradient Chevrons

Today on my nails I have my favorite design, chevrons! Normally I like to hand paint my chevrons, but for this one I cut out some chevron shaped tape using craft scissors to make sure that I had clean lines for my gradients. I used China Glaze Wait N' Sea, Treble Maker, Grass Is Lime Greener, Dune Our Thing, Glow With The Flow, and Plur-Ple. Considering how bright these polishes are, I'm surprised by how well the camera picked up the colors!

Assorted Tape Designs

Here are some striping tape designs that I did while playing around with new polishes that I had recently purchased. The green is Zoya Tiana and the purple is China Glaze Plur-Ple. It feels like it's been forever since I've done anything with tape like this, so it was a lot of fun, especially since striping tape is probably my favorite nail art tool.

Taped Waves

Hello! For this manicure I used some crafting scissors to cut tape into wavy shapes. Using this tape helped me to get really nice clean lines for my waves. The base is China Glaze All Aboard and History of the World, although it's are to tell because they are kind of blending together a lot, and the gold is Zoya Severine.

31DC2015: Pink and Aqua

Today's theme is pink and aqua. For my manicure I decided to go with a skittle design. I used Essie Mint Candy Apple for the aqua, China Glaze Feel The Breeze for the pink, China Glaze Rich And Famous for the flower details, and Zoya Josie for the leaves. This is definitely my favorite manicure that I've done so far!

31DC2015: Tape Manicure

Day two is tape manis! I love using tape, it's my go-to whenever I'm short on ideas for nail designs. Here's what I came up with for today! The pink is China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes, the light blue is Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau, and the dark blue is a mix of China Glaze Capacity To See Beyond and Sinful Colors Endless Blue. The glitter on my pointer and pinky is Color Club British Invasion, and it is my new all time favorite glitter.

52 Week Pick N Mix Challenge: 2 Color Gradient/ Teal

Hello! Today I am beginning the Crumpet's Nail Tarts 52 Week Pick N Mix Challenge. This weeks prompts are two color gradient and/or teal. For this manicure I've decided to incorporate both prompts. For the base I used a teal, Color Club Age Of Aquarius. Then I placed striping tape on that and sponged on a gradient with China Glaze Feel The Breeze and China Glaze All Aboard.

Glitter Week: Maybelline Blue Beats

Hello! Today the glitter that I'm featuring in my manicure is Maybelline Blue Beats! The pink base that I used is China Glaze Feel The Breeze. On top of that I applied some tape to make a braid design with nice clean lines. For the blue I had to mix together OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, Xtreme Wear Blinding Blue, and some of Zoya Blu to create a color close to that of the glitter. I wasn't sure how the glitter was going to work out with the striping tape, but I was pleasantly surprised!

Dots On Stripes

Hello! I feel like I haven't posted anything in a while, so here's a manicure I wore a few weeks ago. I used striping tape to mark off the stripes. I then added dots using the smallest dotting tool that I have. This wasn't exactly my original plan for this look, but I guess it still worked out. I used Orly Lemonade and Essie Hide And Go Chic.
