GOT Polish Challenge: Blue

On this Thursday the GOT polish challenge calls for blue! I was at a complete loss with what to do for this mani, all I knew was that I wanted to use Orly Royal Navy. Royal Navy is a gorgeous cobalt blue jelly with blue/turquoise micro-glitter all throughout it. This polish is amazing, great formula, great pigmentation, except all of the glitters sink to the bottom of the bottle, so with each use you have to shake it up like crazy. Once it was on my nails I still had no idea what to do with it, so I grabbed some Xtreme Wear Celeb City and just threw together this simple dotticure!

Right Amount Of Evil

Hello! I recently picked up Orly Right Amount Of Evil. It is part of the Flash Glam FX collection, and like Monster Mash, is sold through the Halloween collection as well. I decided to get it because I down own any sort of orange glitter. Rather than having orange glitters, RAOE has silver holographic hexagonal and bar glitters in a bright orange jelly base. It also has a bit of pink shimmer to it. The polish isn't really that thick, but I think dabbing the glitter on is the best method. I love tje pink in this color.
Two coats of Right Amount Of Evil over Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed, Black, White, and Coral Reef.

Orly Monster Mash

Hello! Today I have Orly Monster Mash. It's from the Flash Glam FX line, but it's sold through the 2012 Halloween collection. I almost wasn't going to get this, but of course I talked myself into it. I'm very glad that I did! Monster Mash has grass green hexagonal glitter, as well as small round and bar glitters in a light green jelly base. You can't see the base in my photos because I swatched over black, which I hadn't really considered until I was done painting my nails. The glitters all have holo to them. The formula is a tiny bit on the thicker side, but that's pretty much expected with a glitter polish like this. This polish is awesome, I couldn't stop staring at my nails the whole time I wore it, and I got a ton of compliments. I can't wait to try this over other colors.

Velvet Rope

Today I'm wearing Orly Velvet Rope. Velvet Rope is a dark purple packed with fine silver glitter. The glitter in this polish isn't totally flashy though, it's very subtle, much less apparent on the nail than in the bottle. The formula was a tad bit runny, but manageable. I used two coats. It's a great fall/winter color, I'd say!

Razzle

Today I'm wearing Orly Razzle! Razzle is the first Orly polish I ever bought! I remember the first time I wore this I could not take my eyes off it. That was about two years ago, and I'm still pretty impressed with it. Razzle is a pink berry sort of color with small silver glitters throughout. The base is a little jelly like ( in finish) so you get a lot of depth with the glitters, which is super pretty. No complaints on the formula either.

Orly Royal Velvet

Orly Royal Velvet is probably now on my list of top ten favorite polishes. It has a deep plum base with a bright blue duochrome. So pretty! The application is wonderful. The color is a tiny bit sheer, with two coats there's very very slight patchiness.

Orly Fowl Play

From the first swatch I saw of Orly Fowl Play, it became a huge lemming of mine. By complete chance I found it in a cheap three pack with two other colors from the Birds of A Feather collection. Even though I was so excited to wear it, some how I've put it off until now.
Fowl Play has a deep plum jelly base. Throughout the polish are orangey-green flakies and blue and silver glitters. It's a very random assortment, but somehow it works. The formula was a bit runny but the overall application went fairly well. It's a very unusual color, which is probably part of the reason it's so appealing.
