Oink Oink!

My birthday is tomorrow! And it seems a bit odd, but that's where my inspiration for this manicure came from.... When I was little my sister gave me the nickname "Piggy" so this is sort of an homage to childhood and growing up! The accent nail seems a little out of place, but I just did it because I'd never worn that color before and it has a party vibe to it!

Accurately shows Fuchsia Power (pink)

Accurately shows Worth The Risque (silver)

The base of the pig is Xtreme Wear Fuchsia Power. The nose is Xtreme Wear Bubblegum Pink, the eyes are Xtreme Wear White On, and Xtreme Wear Black out ( also used on the nose). The accent nail is just Color Club Worth The Risque.

Strawberry Fields Forever

These pictures are complete misrepresentation of Zoya Carrie Ann. To be honest I haven't really seen any accurate depictions of it on the internet either. The pictures make the color look almost like a cream red, but in reality its actually very shimmery with undertones of orange and an almost metallic finish.
Zoya Carrie Ann is the red of the strawberry. The leaves are Xtreme Wear Going Green, and the seeds are Xtreme Wear Black Out.

Half and Half

During the holiday season I acquired a good amount of nail polish. Now I find myself with over 30 bottles of never been used polish, which is a lot for me, seeing as I like to keep up with my ever growing collection. Anyway, for the next few weeks I'll be trying to only use polish that has yet to be put on. Aaaand thats brings us to this!

In the bottle, Nicole by OPI You're S-Teal The One has a sort of purple glittery duochrome, which is really what enticed me to buy it. Unfortunately that does not transfer onto the nail at all, even in sunlight. (EDIT: Upon wearing this for some time, I noticed that the purple is, infact visible in certain lighting.) Not to mention it also has an impossibly annoying brush, which is similar to the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri brushes. The purple is China Glaze Coconut Kiss, which applied well, except for the fact that it was starting to get a little tacky because I had it out for so long.

Ocean Gradient

This was my first proper attempt at a gradient. At first I wasn't too happy with it, but the more I look at it the more I love it! I took about a million pictures of it, but I don't think that there's anyway to really capture the beauty of these colors!

I've been working on my photography, and I must say, I will only be shooting in natural light from now on. The pictures look much better!

I used Xtreme Wear Blue It, with China Glaze Dorothy Who? Gradiented (is that a word?) on top.

Love Is In The Air!

Happy Valentines Day! I did a festive manicure embellished with hearts using an Orly nail detailer.

        Left Hand -

        Right Hand-

The colors used are all Sally Hansen. Maximum Growth Perfect Cherry is the creme finished base color on my right middle finger. The rest are from the Xtreme Wear line. Red Carpet, Hot Magenta, Twisted Pink, Bubblegum Pink, Fuchsia Power, and White on are all used in this manicure.

With Luna and Molly!

A girl and her dolly, on the big comfy couch! I got the idea of this manicure from one of my closest friends couch. It's weird were people can get inspiration from... Anyway, I love the color combination of her living room couch, plus I figured these colors have a drastic enough difference that I could take another shot at Konad.

China Glaze Goin My Way? was used on the ring finger,  and China Glaze Adore for the rest plus the stamping. The stamp is from plate M25.

Konad: First Attempt

I recently got a few Konad plates and the stamper for Christmas and I couldn't wait to try it out! I didn't get any of the special Konad Polishes so I was really curious to see how it would turn out. The two colors I used are pretty similar so it's difficult to see ( and especially difficult to photograph!), but it did work well!

The base color is Color Club Fashion Addict, and I stamped with China Glaze Millennium. Top coat Seche Vite didn't smear the design. The flowers on the ring finger is plate M25 and the lady bug is plate M30.
