Through The Decades- 60s

Today I present the next installment of my Through The Decades series. Next up in line is the 60s!  When I think of the 60's, what really comes to mind is classic shows like The Twilight Zone and Leave It To Beaver. I would have loved to do something inspired by those, but I just couldnt come up with anything. With that in mind, I stuck with the hippie vibe. I did a water warble design with rainbow colors to get the tie dye look. It doesn't really look tie dye, but you get the point, and anyway, I really like how the water marble design turned out.
I used Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow, Green With Envy, Blue Me Away, Color Club Pucci-Licious, Xtreme Wear Fucshia Power, Color Club Heart To Heart, And Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed.

Through The Decades- 50s

Today I'm starting a week long, or rather a five day long series entitled "Through The Decades." I'm going to do manicures for decade starting from the 50's and ending with the 90's. For my first manicure in this series I did the 50's. For the 50's I thought of the poodle skirts, and rock n' roll, and what not.
I used Color Club Heart To Heart, Yum Gum, Raspberry Rush, Wicked Sweet, Essie Power Clutch, Wet N Wild French White Creme, and Black Creme.

Glitter Color Block

I used Zoya Mira and Wet N Wild It's All About The Cut to create this very simple manicure. I love glitter as an accent to creme finished polishes. Not really much else to say about this manicure. It took all of about 5 minutes to do.

Spider-Man

Today I have Spider-Man nails! I just got back from the midnight showing of The Amazing Spider-Man, and it was, dare I say, amazing! I was hoping to get these nails up before I actually went to see the film but I just didn't have time. I've been wanting to do Spider-Man nail art for at least a year, but I've been holding out in anticipation for this movie.
My pinky is a lizard-ish print because the villain in this movie is The Lizard. My ring finger is the spider that is on Spider-Man's outfit, and my middle finger is his mask. On my pointer is a web.
On my thumb is the spider on the back of Spider-Man's outfit.

I used Xtreme Wear Cherry Red, Blue It, China Glaze Millennium, OPI Just Spotted The Lizard, Wet N Wild French White Creme and Black Creme.

Mixed Magnetic

Today I have a pretty neat manicure using magnetic polishes. There's really not much you can do in the way of nail art when it comes to magnetics, but I wanted to do something other than just one plain color. So, to mix it up I just did two different colors on one nail. In order to do this I painted one side of my nail with one color and magnetized it. Once that was fully dry, I came back with another color and then used the magnet on that. The line down the center isn't perfectly straight because you have to work fast when using magnetic polishes, they dry pretty quickly.
I used Color Club Steel Of The Night, Hipnotic, China Glaze Pull Me Close, and Instant Chemistry. I used the magnetic that comes with the Color Club polishes.
