Sally Hansen Salon Effects: Spun For You

This is my last Halloween manicure for the year! And I hardly even had to do anything! For my last Halloween manicure of the year I decided to give Sally Hansen Salon Effects another shot because they came out with the cutest designs for fall! I originally was going to resist buying these, considering the miserable results I got last time, but I caved.

I have to say, I cannot get these things to work for me! I don't know what I've been doing wrong! I've tried it with and without topcoat, and they peel up right away! They have a new collection coming out for winter, and as adorable as those are, I don't think I'll be buying any of them. They are too expensive for what they are, especially if your somewhat good at freehand nail art, and, for me at least, they don't come even close to lasting even 5 days, let alone 10.
Despite the lousy outcome I had with them, I really like the look. I just wish that they were either a little cheaper, or had better lasting ability. I got a lot of compliments on these and I hated having to say that they were, in fact, not freehand.

Jack-O-Lanterns

Of course I had to do a Jack-O-Lantern manicure for Halloween! I'm not entirely thrilled with how this turned out, but for now, it suffices. They're very silly pumpkins, a lot like something I would actually carve, hahah.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

Welcome! It's so weird not starting a post with "Day blah blah is blah blah." Now that my 31 Day Challenge is completed, I can finally start officially doing Halloween manicures! I did this mani a day after I finished my 31 Day Challenge. I guess it really is going to take some time getting used to long wear manicures again.
Isn't he cute?!
The base color is Revlon Facets Of Fuchsia, the spider and web are Sinful Colors Snow Me White, and the green eyes are Sinful Colors Irish Green.

31 Day Challenge: Day 31!!!

It's the final day of the 31 Day Challenge! Day 31 is Re-Create Your Favorite Challenge. Now, does this mean re-do your favorite mani? Or do a new design from a previous day? Who knows, but I went with the second. I redid a rather simple challenge, Day 17 Glitter.

As I've stated in recent posts, I'm in Halloween mode. Because of this, I decided to showcase a color from the new Haunting collection by China Glaze. This is It's Alive.
It's Alive is a mossy olive green glitter palooza! The glitter is dense and provides great coverage. It's very gritty when dry though, even with a thick top coat like Seche Vite.

I can't believe I made it through 31 days of manicures! I think my favorite was Day 15, Delicate Print. Up next I'll be working on some Halloween designs!

31 Day Challenge: Day 30

Day 30 is Inspired By a Tutorial
I had trouble finding a tutorial for this challenge. I originally went to google to find a nail art tutorial, but it just didn't deliver. Then, just in time, Sarah at Chalkboard Nails posted this amazingly adorable Halloween manicure, tutorial included! So great, especially because I'm in the Halloween mood. You can view this tutorial here.
The base color I used for the Base is Xtreme Wear Flirt. The white is Sinful Colors Snow Me White. The veins on the eyes is Sally Hansen HD Hi-Res, and the eye colors are Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away, Color Club Twiggie, and Revlon Hot For Chocolate. The pupils are Wet N Wild Black Creme.
