Disney Series: Mulan

Hello! Welcome to September. For as long as I have been doing nail art September has been the time for month long challenges. There are so many challenges that I would love to participate in this month, but unfortunately, it's impossible to do them all. Instead of doing the 31 Day Challenge again, which I really want to do, but have also grown a bit tired of, I came up with an idea of my own. For the duration of this month i will begin a Disney inspired nail art series, and will be attempting to post a manicure every other day! I'm really excited for this because I love Disney movies and there is just so much to draw inspiration from!

To kick off this series I had to go with my favorite Disney movie, and one of my favorite movies of all time, Mulan! In my opinion, this movie is the best, I especially love the part when Mulan cuts her hair!
On my pointer I painted her hair comb, and on my middle finger is the lucky cricket. On my ring finger is one of her outfits, and on my pinky I painted the hilt of the sword that she takes to war with her. I really wanted to paint Mushu, but I wasn't really confident about it, so on my thumb I just painted a swirvy design with his colors.
Pointer: The base is Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac. The comb is Essie Where's My Chauffeur? and I out lined it with Essie Good As Gold.
Middle: Base is Xtreme Wear Berry Juicy. The purple is Color Club Pucci-Licious, and blue is Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue.
Ring: The yellow is Orly Lemonade. The greens are Xtreme Wear Green With Envy and China Glaze Starboard. The blue is China Glaze First Mate, and the red is NOPI Challenge Red-y.
Pinky: The base is China Glaze Starboard. For the sword I used Essie No Place Like Chrome, and Good As Gold.
Thumb: I used NOPI Challenge Red-y, Zoya Darcy, and Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue.

Fan Brush Stripes

Hi! Lately I've been seeing this tutorial all over Pinterest. I've always thought it was really cool looking, and I've finally decided to give it a try. The design utilizes the fan brush, which I thought was fun because I never use that when doing my nails. My stripes are not as nice and clean as the tutorial, but I still ended up really loving the outcome.
The base is Zoya Darcy. I use three pinks for the stripes, Xtreme Wear Berry Juicy, Peach Beach, and Razz-Berry.

Game Week: Mario

Hi! It's the last day of my game week. For my final manicure I wanted to do something Mario related. I decided to paint the logos of Mario and Luigi, as well as their evil counter-parts Wario and Waluigi, as they appear on their hats. For some reason Wario's 'W' kind of goes outside the circle on his hat, so that's how I painted it. Also On my thumb I painted the little flower brooch on Princess Daisy's dress. I painted Daisy as opposed to Peach because I've just always liked her more.
Green is Revlon Posh, Red is Color Club Heart To Heart, Yellow is Zoya Darcy, and the purple is Zoya Mira. The blue on Wario is China Glaze Shower Together, and the center on Daisy is Xtreme Wear The Real Teal. The orange is Zoya Arizona.

Game Week: Pac-Man

Hello! Today I am sporting Pac-Man inspired nail art. I am terrible at this game, the ghosts make me too nervous. For my nails I painted a typical level on Pac-Man. I originally had intended on painting a few of the ghosts in the level but I ended up not having room.

Pac-man is Zoya Darcy and the blue is Xtreme Wear Blinding Blue.

Game Week: The Legend of Zelda

Today I painted my nails based off of The Legend of Zelda. On my pointer I painted a red rupee, the games form of currency. On my middle finger is the Tri-force, and on my ring finger is Link's helpful fairy friend, Navi. For my pinky I painted a health bar heart. I painted it on a light pink field because I wanted something that was Princess Zelda-esque. On my thumb I was originally going to write out the word Zelda, but I didn't have enough space, so I just settled on the Z.
The gold is Color Club Gingerbread Man, the green is La Splash Greenery, the red is Color Club Heart To Heart, and the pink is Xtreme Wear Berry Juicy. For Navi I used Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue, and Zoya Blu.

Game Week: Tetris

Today for my game week I have decided to paint my nails inspired by the game Tetris. The manicure is a little rough around the edges, but it's fine because perfect squares are not easy to paint! The overall effect is nice, I suppose.
The red is Color Club Heart To Heart, the green is Twiggie, and the purple is Pucci-Licious. The blue is Orly Blue Navy. The cyan color is China Glaze For Audrey. The yellow is Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow, and the orange is Zoya Arizona.

Game Week: Bubble Bobble

Hello! I've decided to start a themed week. This weeks manicures will be all about games. For my first game inspired manicure I went with Bubble Bobble. Bubble Bobble is probably the most adorable game I have ever played. On my nails I painted the two heroic dinosaurs, Bub and Bob. I also painted their signature weapon, bubbles.
For Bub (the green one) I used China Glaze Def Defying and Zoya Arizona. For Bob (the blue one) I used OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, and Color Club Pucci-Licious.
