New31DC: Day 31
Hello! It's the final day of the New 31 Day Challenge! What a bummer, it went by so quickly, but I had a ton of fun participating! The final prompt is to recreate someone else's mani from earlier in the challenge. I was having a tough time deciding between them all, but the moment I saw Smashley Sparkles' Day 22 I knew what I was going to do! I just discovered her blog during this challenge, and she is amazing! I was an instant follower. I really love this manicure, and I'm so glad I get to wear it for a couple of days now!
The base is Color Club Disco Dress, and the design is with China Glaze For Audrey.

New31DC: Day 30
I didn't even realize, but we have only one day left until the New 31 Day Challenge is completed! Wow! Today's prompt calls for your favorite nail art technique. I love the splatter technique, but since we already did a day of splatter during the challenge, I went with another beloved technique, sugar spun! I just love the look and feel of sugar spun nails so much. I want to do them with every color combination possible. Today I did some greens over a white base. It was a bummer to take this one off.
The greens that I used are Revlon Posh (dark), Xtreme Wear Green With Envy (lime), and Mint Sorbet (pastel).

New31DC: Day 29
Today is inspired by a blogger! Of course I had to do Chalkboard Nails. Every post of hers is absolutely amazing, and she has incredible talent. For my manicure I did a couple of key designs that I often associate with her. The double gradient, the ruffles, the maze nails, and the fish tail.
I used Color Club Pucci-Licious, Age Of Aquarius, and Xtreme Wear Celeb City.

New31DC: Day 28
Hello! It's day 28 of the new 31 day challenge! Today is inspired by my favorite color, which is pink! I have really been wanting to try out that spotted water marble manicure, and I thought that this would be a good day to do it. For this manicure you start with a traditional water marble, and then before dipping your fingers, directly onto the polish in the cup, you spritz spray hand sanitizer, or a similar substitute. This makes a neat dotting effect to dip your fingers into. For my spotted fingers I sprayed in a Bath and Body Works body splash. My manicure doesn't exactly look spotted, but I don't care, I think this looks amazing! It's so freaky, I love the effect! It reminds me of the Venom symbiote from Spider-Man. For the base I just randomly sponged on a bunch of different pinks.

New31DC: Day 27
Hi! Today's prompt is "inspired by you." Like my manicure inspired by my childhood, I decided to do a skittle design to show various things that I like. On my pointer is the X-men logo, my favorite superheros. On my middle finger is coffee, on my ring finger is a bunny, my favorite animal, and of course on my pinky I had to paint a bottle of nail polish! I used China Glaze Atlantis, one of my favorite nail polishes, and the base on that nail is also Zoya Megan! I just had to use it. On my thumb I painted the design of my bedroom wallpaper, which is my favorite color scheme.
Pointer: Base- Essie No Place Like Chrome, red- Color Club Heart To Heart.
Middle: Base- Essie Go Overboard, mug- Zoya Megan, coffee- China Glaze Mahogany Magic.
Ring: Base- Color Club Age Of Aquarius, pink- Zoya Shelby.
Pinky: Base- Zoya Megan, nail polish- China Glaze Atlantis.
Thumb: Green- Essie Navigate Her, blue- Essie Mint Candy Apple, pink- Color Club Vintage Couture.

New31DC: Day 26
Hello! Today is inspired by my country! I'm from the US, and I originally was going to just do some sort of red white and blue design for the colors on the flag, but I decided to mix it up a bit. On my nails I painted "We The People" which are the first three words on the US constitution. I couldn't fit the whole saying on just my four fingers, so the "we" had to be separated onto my thumb.
This is the best picture I could get with my thumb in it. I don't know how people do that! My fingers just don't bend that way.

New31DC: Day 25
Hi! Day 25 is inspired by my childhood. I decided to go the skittle route, and make each nail represent something different that was a big part in my life as a child. On my pointer is a pig, because my nickname used to be Piggy. On my middle finger is the Barbie B. On my ring finger is Sailor Venus's uniform, because I loved Sailor Moon, and Venus was my favorite Sailor Scout! On my pinky is one of Mulan's outfits, because Mulan is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I was especially obsessed with it when I was younger. Finally, On my thumb is Hello Kitty.
Pointer: Base of Zoya Caitlin. The pig is Color Club Vintage Couture, the details are Zoya Shelby.
Middle: Base of Color Club Vintage Couture, details in Xtreme Wear Pink Punch.
Ring: Orange is Zoya Arizona, blue is China Glaze Man Hunt.
Pinky: Light green is Xtreme Wear Green With Envy, the darker is China Glaze Starboard, the blue is Man Hunt, the yellow is Orly Lemonade, and the red is Color Club Heart To Heart.
Thumb: The base is Color Club Yum Gum, the bow is Heart To Heart, and the nose is Orly Lemonade.

New31DC: Day 24
Hi! Today is inspired by a game! I had a lot of ideas for this one, but I decided to stick with one of my favorite games as a child, Hungry Hungry Hippos. I painted all four hippos and did white dots on my thumb to represent the pieces that the hippos gobble up.
The base is Zoya Kristen. The yellow is Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow, the orange is Zoya Arizona, the green is Revlon Posh, and the pink is Zoya Shelby.

New31DC: Day 23
Today is day 23! The prompt is inspired by nature. I didn't really have an direct inspiration from nature for my manicure, I just really wanted to do some pretty flowers. I actually got this design from a scrapbook paper. The base is Zoya Arizona, and the flower centers are China Glaze For Audrey.

New31DC: Day 22
Hello! Today is inspired by a fabric. For some reason this one really stumped me. I went to the internet for help, and came across this neat polka dot pattern on some image of fabric. I used LASplash Greenery, Xtreme Wear Green With Envy, Wet Cement, and Essie Power Clutch.

New31DC: Day 21
Hi! The prompt for day 21 is "merge or melt." I decided to go ahead and do both merge and melt! I first did a gradient using three colors Xtreme Wear The Real Teal, Violet Voltage, and Pacific Blue. I put some holo glitter over that using Nicole By OPI Make A Comet-Ment. Then I made drips, for the melting effect, using Essie Mint Candy Apple.

New31DC: Day 20
Hi! Today calls for texture. I personally can't really stand textured nails, all I want to do it pick at them. For my textured manicure I decided to use flocking powder, at least it's soft. It worked a little better on some nails than others. I painted one coat of Xtreme Wear Bubble Gum, and Blue Me Away, and then sprinkled on some flocking powder from Michaels while it was still wet. This came off the first opportunity I had.

New31DC: Day 19
Hello! Today is my favorite polish! I don't know if this is actually my absolute favorite nail polish, but it's definitely high on the list. I use Zoya Zara. I did a post on it way back when, and apparently I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Well, I really like light purple nail polish, and this ones gold glitter definitely makes it a winner to me. I free handed a zebra print but the black was too harsh over Zara, so I added some glitter using Xtreme Wear Strobe Light.
New31DC: Day 18
Hello! Today calls for my oldest untried! I mentally looked through my collection and almost immediately knew which polish I was going to use. Xtreme Wear Strobe Light is my oldest untired, at least I think so. I got it Christmas of 2010 I think. I never knew what to layer it over, so it just sort of got lost in my collection. I really love this polish though! Strobe Light has small multi-sized light rose glitter, and larger holographic glitter. My bottle was messed up from the store, so the formula was a little goopy and a bit hard to work with, but that's nothing that a little thinner can't fix.
I layered Strobe Light over a black, Essie Mint Candy Apple, and Zoya Shelby.

New31DC: Day 17
Hello! The theme for today is a new technique to me. I had a little bit of trouble figuring out what I wanted to do for this. I ended up doing that technique where you paint on some tape and then you cut out shapes and lay them on the nail. I think I saw it on Pinterest or something. It was really difficult for me to cut all the same size pieces, so I put them down in a random pattern. Also The edges of the tape would stick up off of my nail, and that drove me nuts. This manicure didn't last very long because I just couldn't help picking at the tape.
The base is Orly Lemonade. The tape is painted with Xtreme Wear Coral Reef and Lacey Lilac.

New31DC: Day 16
Today's prompt is color opposites! I suppose I sort of went with green and red. Instead I used a bit more of a teal and coral though. I think they're close enough to be classified as color opposites. I also did a simple fish bone design. The green is Xtreme Wear The Real Teal, and the red is Caribbean Coral.
New31DC: Day 15
Hi! Today is day 15, half way through the challenge! The prompt is watercolor. This technique is where you put dots of polish on your nails and smear them around with acetone. This was my first ever attempt at it, I didn't have very much luck with it. It sounds like an easy process, but I had a difficult time with it. I'm not thrilled with the end result, it doesn't really look like a watercolor to me, but I do think the colors are pretty.
I used Color Club Raspberry Rush, Take Me To Your Chateau, Yum Gum, Pucci-Licious, Disco Dress, and China Glaze Man Hunt.

New31DC: Day 14
Hello! Day 14 is stamping! I did some experimenting with my polishes in order to find a good stamping polish that wasn't my regular silver and gold. I found that the Zoya Surf collection did an adequate job! I stamped Zoya Kimber over Essie Navigate Her using a Bundle Monster plate, I'm not exactly sure which one. It's not perfect, but it's good enough for me!

New31DC: Day 13
Hiya! Today's theme is "your cheer yourself up mani." I had absolutely no idea what to do for this manicure until the other night. While cheerleading I had an accident and ended up needing to get 5 stitches. That was a blast. In order to cheer me up afterwards, my dad offered to take me to Dunkin Donuts to get coffee. That's when I realized that getting coffee is a sure-fire way to cheer me up! On my nails I painted some coffee in mugs and the logos of my favorite places to get coffee, Starbucks, and Dunkin Donuts.
The purple base is Zoya Moxie, the green is Orly Lucky Duck. The orange and pink for the D's is Zoya Arizona, and Lara. The brown for the coffee is China Glaze Mahogany Magic.

New31DC: Day 12
Hello! Day 12 is a tape manicure! This is the day I've been dreading most. I have never had any luck with tape manicures. It might be because I'm too impatient to wait for the polish to completely dry before putting on the tape. Anyway, today was no different. I tried to go for a more simple 80's design that I borrowed from Nailside, the queen of tape manicures. It went alright, but I definitely had to go back and do some touch-ups.
The base is China Glaze For Audrey. The pink is Color Club Raspberry Rush, and the purple is Pucci-Licious.
