New31DC: Day 17
Hello! The theme for today is a new technique to me. I had a little bit of trouble figuring out what I wanted to do for this. I ended up doing that technique where you paint on some tape and then you cut out shapes and lay them on the nail. I think I saw it on Pinterest or something. It was really difficult for me to cut all the same size pieces, so I put them down in a random pattern. Also The edges of the tape would stick up off of my nail, and that drove me nuts. This manicure didn't last very long because I just couldn't help picking at the tape.
The base is Orly Lemonade. The tape is painted with Xtreme Wear Coral Reef and Lacey Lilac.

Even if it was annoying on the nail, this turned out really cool! Before I read your post, I couldn't figure out how you layerd polish so well--I never would have guessed this was tape!
