Wooden Coaster
Hello! Last Friday was my schools annual physics day, which is when the physics students get to go on a field trip to Six Flags! For the event last year I painted a steel roller coaster, so this year I decided to do a wooden one. I was so pooped after the trip that I forgot to post these until now!
The base is Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau, the track Revlon Hot For Chocolate and the cart is Valentine. The posts are a brown that I frankened.

April TPC: Day 4
Hi! It's the final day of the April Tri-Polish Challenge! For my final manicure using these colors I did a funky zebra print. For my pink, orange, and turquoise I used Xtreme Wear Pretty In Hot Pink, Zoya Arizona, and Essie Where's My Chauffeur?.

April TPC: Day 3
Hello! I'm here today with my third manicure for the April Tri-Polish Challenge. Today I did a leopard print using two of the three colors, Xtreme Wear Pretty In Hot Pink, and Essie Where's My Chauffeur?. I know it's not a requirement, but I like to incorporate all three colors into each manicure. After I had done the leopard print I tried to add in some orange. It did not work out... so I just settled for this! I like it a lot though!

April TPC: Day 2
Hello! It's day two of the April Ti-Polish Challenge! for my orange, pink, and turquoise, I am using Zoya Arizona, Xtreme Wear Pretty In Hot Pink, and Essie where's My Chauffeur?. For today's mani I did a water marble. I haven't done a water marble in a while and I thought that the polishes I'm using might work well for that technique. I think it turned out pretty well, I just wish the pattern on each nail was more consistent. Oh well! I'm still trying to figure out how to make neat designs in the water, and also how to prevent getting little bubbles in the nail polish!
Make sure to check out what the other ladies came up with for day 2!

April TPC: Day 1
Hello! The Tri-Polish Challenge is back! This month the colors are pink, orange, and turquoise. For my polishes I chose Xtreme Wear Pretty In Hot Pink, Zoya Arizona, and Essie Where's My Chauffeur?. This is the design that I came up with, it's a sort of funky half moon I guess!

Taped Blocks
Hello! It's been a bit of a while since my last post. Honestly, I was just being a bit lazy. I have a tape manicure for today! I've seen this design done by a bunch of different people, but the first place I saw it was at Dizzy Little Digits. I thought it was so neat, and since I've been really into using striping tape lately, I decided to give it a shot. I started off with a base of Zoya Neely. Once I had all the tape placed on my nail I filled in the squares with and assortment of pinks.

Phillies Home Opener
Hello! Today was the Philadelphia Phillies home opener! They're a Major League Baseball team for those that may not know. I was lucky enough to get to go to the game! Obviously I did my nails for the occasion. I painted the Phillies logo across my nails and on my thumb I painted a star with red stripes, because their home uniforms are pinstriped. The red is Xtreme Wear Cherry Red and the blue is China Glaze Man Hunt. Even though the Phillies got crushed, I still had a great time at the game!

China Glaze Infra Red
Hello! Just this past weekend, while at a discount beauty shop, I came across the China Glaze Hologlam collection, a 12 piece collection of holographic polishes. I originally wasn't thrilled with the polishes, especially not for 14 dollars, but at the store they were under 5, that's cheaper than your average China Glaze! I couldn't help but get at least one of them. I decided on Infra Red. It's a bright magenta. The holo in it isn't a strong as I would have liked, but it's definitely there. The formula is smooth and very pigmented, I used two coats. I really like this polish, but I don't know if it's worth shelling out 14 bucks for it.
Assorted Heroes
Hi! So, I did today's manicure to celebrate one of my closest friends birthday! His birthday was yesterday, April 1st, and it foolishly (pun intended) slipped my mind that I had intended on painting these! So I did it today instead, better late than never! My friend is a comic book nerd, so this manicure is comprised of his top 5 favorite heroes. It includes Moon Knight, Nova, The Punisher, Starlord, and Judge Dredd. They're just a bit obscure... anyway, happy belated birthday, Dom!
The gold is Essie Good As Gold, and the shimmery red is China Glaze Cranberry Splash. The creme red is Red Satin, and the blue is First Mate. The nude color for Dredd is La Splash Nudist.

Zoya Nyx
Hi! Today I'm swatching Zoya Nyx. This is actually my sister's nail polish, but she let me try it out. It's from the 2013 spring PixieDust collection, which means that it is a textured polish. Nyx is a dusty light blue with shiny silver glitter. The glitter is super sparkly. The formula was smooth, and it took three coats to be opaque. I haven't really liked any of the texture polishes from other brands, but there is something about the Zoya ones that makes me excited to purchase from their upcoming summer PixieDust collection!
