Mixed Metals

I recently realized a bit of a pattern in my collection of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polishes. I own three polishes of similar finishes but different colors, a bronze, silver, and gold. I thought it'd be different to combine all of these into one manicure.
A less complex design on my right hand.
I used Xtreme Wear Time To Shine, Celeb City, and Golden-I.

Bows

I was just browsing my collection the other day, trying to pick out some colors I've never used. I came across Xtreme Wear Pink Satin and somehow ended up pairing it with Xtreme Wear Midnight Sky. I love this combination!! I wanted to do something cute and simple that I've never done before, so I free handed some bows!
I did an easier design on my right hand.

Color Club Alter Ego

Color Club Alter Ego is very different from colors I usually gravitate towards. Since it's still a bit chilly outside I thought I could get away with a dark color by itself. Alter Ego has a sheer deep purple base packed with gold and blue/ silver micro glitters. Depending on where and what light your nails are under the color will alter from purple to gold to silver. Its very sheer with the first coat but it applies well. I only did two coats and had very slight spottiness.

Spoiled Pet My Peacock

I recently got a couple of colors from Wet N Wilds Spoiled line. One of the awesome glitters I got was Pet My Peacock.
PMP has same sized gold green blue and purple hexagonal glitters. I had the same problem with the brush on this as I did the polish I posted about a couple days ago, so I had to sponge on the glitter again.
PMP is layered on top of Xtreme Wear Marine Scene, Virtual Violet, and a black and white.

Leopard Case

This manicure is based on my friends leopard glasses case. His case is blue and green, but actually much brighter, and the markings are in black. I decided to keep the blue and green pattern but use darker colors. Since the colors are so dark, if I did the markings in black they wouldn't even be visible, so I did white instead.
I used Orly Lucky Duck, Essie Go Overboard, and a white.

Spoiled Trust Fund Baby

I don't go to CVS often, but I did recently and was pleasantly surprised to find the Spoiled line by Wet N Wild. Spoiled has a ton of colors, but what I was really attracted to was their spectacular glitters. One I of the ones picked up reminded me of a color from the Wet N Wild Fast Dry Halloween collection that I loved but couldn't find anywhere. It's called Trust Fund Baby.
I wasn't sure what it would look good over, so I did a variety of colors, Xtreme Wear Marine Scene, Hot Magenta, and a white and black. TFB has square black and pink glitter and hexagonal blue and gold glitter all of the same size in a clear base. My problem with this Spoiled line is that the brushes are huge! They are extremely fat and stubby. While they pick up a lot of polish, it's too much, especially with glitters since they are so sparse in the clear polish. Instead of applying these traditionally and having a huge thick goopy mess on my nails I sponged on the glitter. I found this to much less annoying than having polish and inch thick.

Lullaby

Here's yet another manicure inspired by a Chuck Palahniuk book, Lullaby. Lullaby doesn't have as much artwork as the other books do, so I thought I'd try my hand at the cursive on the cover.

The book cover.
I used Color Club Get Your Lem-On, a white and a black.
