Top 10 of 2013

Hello! To round out the year I decided to put together a post featuring some of my favorite manicures from throughout 2013. I did a similar post last year as well if you have any interest in checking that out. Without further ado, here are my top 10 manicures from 2013!

10. 33DC: Day 16

9. The Wolverine
8. Rainbows and Striping Tape
7. 33DC: Day 17
6. 33DC: Day 27
5. Octopus
4. 33DC: Day 15
3. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
2. Justice League
1: Disney Series: The Little Mermaid
For my number one nail art of the year I chose The Little Mermaid. I absolutely love every manicure that I did as a part of my Disney nail art series, but unfortunately I can't put all 15 on this list! I decided to choose this particular mani from the series because it is the most viewed. It was seriously impossible for me to pick my own favorite, so I chose this as sort of a representative for the whole group!

2014 New Year Mani

Happy New Year! This is the manicure that I will be ringing in the new year with! For the base I used China Glaze Haunting. Then I painted a ton of fireworks over that with a bunch of foil polishes, I'm not exactly sure which because I just randomly grabbed a bunch. The dots on the 2014 are Xtreme Wear Golden-I. Have a great night everyone!

A Late Christmas Mani

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday! I was pretty busy yesterday, so I didn't get a chance to post this, but this is the manicure I wore yesterday for Christmas. I just did a simple design using typical Christmas colors and added a bow.
The green is Zoya Holly, the red is Color Club Berry and Bright, and the gold is Xtreme Wear Golden-I.

Wreaths and Trees

When I was brainstorming ideas for holiday manicures I realized that I have yet to paint some wreaths! I couldn't resist adding a Christmas tree as well. The base color probably wasn't the best choice, but it's too late now!
The base is Color Club Kiss My French. For the wreaths and tree I used three greens, LA Splash Greenery, Revlon Posh, and Xtreme Wear Mint Sorbet. The bows are China Glaze Merry Berry. For the ornaments I used Xtreme Wear Celeb City, Golden-I, and Color Club Merry and Bright.

Gift Wrapping

Hello! Here is another holiday manicure! This time I wanted to paint some wrapped gifts. I love the look, it's super fancy. I used Zoya Holly, Color Club Berry and Bright, Xtreme Wear Celeb City, and Golden-I.

Snowman Revisited

With the holidays approaching I thought this was a good time to revisit and old blast from the past. I decided to recreate this snowman manicure that I did a few years ago when I first started my blog, In fact it was my first post ever!
The base I used is Sinful Colors Cinderella. The red is China Glaze Merry Berry. His carrot nose is Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed, and his arms are Revlon Hot For Chocolate.
Here's the old version, I'd definitely say I've improved.

China Glaze Happy Holiglaze: Glitter Toppers

Hi! Today I'm showing a few polishes from the recent Happy Holiglaze collection from China Glaze. In the collection there are three glitter topper nail polishes, and of course I had to have them.
Your Present Required has a bunch of different colored and size glitters. This includes gold, copper, silver, blue, green, pink, and white glitter. To my surprise, I only needed one coat to sufficiently cover my nails! I had some trouble picking underwear for this polishes, so I ended up settling for black, it's pretty, but not exactly festive.
Bells Will Be Blinging has a ton of small blue glitter. It also has some round gold glitter and stout holographic bar glitter. I used one coat on a dark blue and a black.
Be Merry Be Bright has two sizes of both pink and purple glitter. It's very pretty, I used one coat over Zoya Julie.

Overall the formulas were really good, nothing was too goopy or anything, and each polish is packed with glitter. I definitely think these polishes are better suited as toppers, but, with enough coats, I'm sure you could wear them alone.
