31 Day Challenge II: Animal Print

Today is day 13! This day calls for animal print. I originally wanted to do some animal print that you wouldn't typically find on nail art, but then I came up with this idea. I just did a leopard print with three different colors. Originally I wasn't too thrilled with it, but after I wore it for a bit I began to love it. It's the first nail art since my red nails that I was actually upset about taking off. A girl in one of my classes even asked me if I was wearing those nail polish stickers!

The White is Xtreme Wear White On, the orange is Zoya Arizona, the pink is Color Club Raspberry Rush, and the black details are XW Black Out.

31 Day Challenge II: Stripes

Today's prompt is stripes! I just got some new Zoyas in the mail, and I really wanted to try them out. I picked three of them that I thought would go together best. I used Arizona (orange), Shelby (pink), and Kristen (blue).

Oh, and my pinky nail broke off again. I'm too lazy to be bothered with regluing it back on every time I have cheerleading, so I will now sport my nubbin proudly!

31 Day Challenge II: Polka Dots

Today is day 11 of the 31 Day Challenge! This marks the beginning of the patterns section! Things are starting to pick up! Just as a refresher, here is the challenge prompt!

Today is Polka Dots! I saw this design somewhere on Pinterest a little while ago, and it looked awesome! I wish I could link to it but I couldn't remember where it came from for the life of me. Here's my take on it! I used three different sized dotting tools.

 The base color I used is Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac. For the polka dots I used Color Club Vintage Couture, XW Pretty In Hot Pink, and Pink Punch.

31 Day Challenge II: Gradient

 Hello! Today, day 10, is the last manicure that is part of the "colors" section. That means we're 1/3 of the way done! Woo! Today is gradient nails. I have an obsession with blue and gold together. I started with a base of China Glaze Man Hunt. Then I just had to sponge on a gold, so I used Xtreme Wear Golden-I. That was good and all, but I wanted a bit more sparkle, so I sponged on a bit of Xtreme Wear Set The Stage. I love how this turned out. I kind of wish that I had done a more traditional gradient, like when two colors blend right in to each other, but I'm pretty happy with this,

31 Day Challenge II: Rainbow

Hello, there! Today is day 9, and that means rainbow nails! I actually have two manicures in this post! I was really excited for rainbow nails, but I always have a hard time thinking up something original. The first manicure I did was just a rainbow of dots on a dark matte base. The base is Zoya Dovima. I'm not really thrilled with how this turned out, but it does look kinda neat. As you can see, I'm still not painting on my pinky nail.

Now for the second manicure. On my other hand I did a sugar spun manicure. I love rainbows with a dark color, and I really just did this for fun to see how it would turn out. I love this manicure! I didn't want it to be my official rainbow nails though, because I have already done a spun sugar manicure for the 31 Day Challenge and I didn't want to be too repetitive. I really need to stop thinking about doing spun sugar manicures.

For both the manicures I used Xtreme Wear Green With Envy, Mellow Yellow, Sun Kissed, Cherry Red, Pink Punch, Zoya Mira, and Xtreme Wear Blinding Blue for the rainbow.

31 Day Challenge II: Metallic

Hello! Today is metallic nails! Before I talk about the manicure I'm wearing today I want to bring up a recent tragedy that occurred in my life. While at cheerleading last night I broke my pinky nail. It broke right down to the nail bed and even bled some. Luckily I managed to find the piece of nail that broke off. After some trimming, I glued it back on and put a patch over it for more security. I'm not sure how well the nail is going to hold up, so for the next few days I will not be polishing it. Now onto the manicure!

I first saw this manicure on Get Nailed. It's extremely simple to do. After applying your base color, take another polish and try to get as much polish off the brush as possible. Then all you do is brush what little is left onto the nail and it creates this sort of worn antique look.

I used China Glaze Adore and Xtreme Wear Pink Satin.

31 Day Challenge II: Black And White

We are officially a week into the 31 Day Challenge! Today brings us to Black and White nails. I've been thinking about doing some sort of cow design for a while now, but I just never got around to it. This was the perfect day to finally do it!

The black I used is Xtreme Wear Black Out and the white is White On. The pink is Bubblegum Pink.
