31 Day Challenge II: Inspired by A Tutorial
This is day 30! Wow! For some bloggers this may be the last day of the challenge, but I'm going to do the 31st day also. This day is inspired by a tutorial. For my nails I took inspiration from this tutorial. I love all things owl, and I've been meaning to do some owl nail art for a while. Luckily, while on my search for a tutorial, I found that great owl one!
The half moon part at the top is Zoya Megan. The base colors of the owls are, from left to right, Zoya Mira, Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue, Zoya Shelby, and XW Going Green. The tummies are XW Lacey Lilac, Color Club Take Me to Your Chateau, Vintage Couture, and XW Mint Sorbet. All the eyes are XW Mellow Yellow and Black Out, and the noses are Sun Kissed.

31 Day Challenge II: Inspired By The Supernatural
Today is inspired by the supernatural! I happened to be cheering for my schools football team at a game today, and conveniently for me, my schools mascot is a ghost! It was too good of an opportunity to pass up. The base is maroon because that is my schools color. My thumb is part of the skirt of my cheerleading uniform. It seems like a lot of people aren't thrilled about the supernatural prompt, but I think it's pretty awesome!
The base is China Glaze Purr-Fect Plum. I then used Xtreme Wear Black Out, White On, and a bit of Celeb City.

31 Day Challenge II: Inspired By A Flag
Day 28 is inspired by a flag! I live in America, and I don't really have ties to anywhere else in the world, so for this manicure I picked random countries from Europe. I did the German, Italian, British, Swedish, and Swiss Flags.

Italy- LA Splash Greenery, XW White On, Cherry Red.
Britain- XW White On, Zoya Song, Color Club Santa's Cinnamon.

31 Day Challenge II: Inspired By Artwork
Today is inspired by artwork. This one really got me. I had a lot of trouble deciding what exactly I wanted to do. My favorite artist is Seurat, but I did something based off him last year. I ended up doing something by Barnett Newman. For my nails I took a couple of pieces from his 18 Cantos. This one may have been a bit of a cop out, but I do like how it looks.
The blues are Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue with various amounts of white mixed in. The black and white are Black Out and White On.

31 Day Challenge II: Inspired By A Pattern
It's day 26! The prompt today is Inspired By A Pattern. I wanted to try out argyle. I asked my sister if she had anything argyle that I could look at, and she gave me a sock. I had a bit of trouble with this one. Argyle is not an easy pattern to paint when you include this many diamonds.
My nails with the sock. (I told my sister I would feature her sock on my blog.)
The greens are Xtreme Wear Green With Envy, and China Glaze Starboard. The black and white are Xtreme Wear Black Out, and White On. The little lines are China Glaze For Audrey.

31 Day Challenge II: Inspired By Fashion
The prompt for today is fashion. I know absolutely nothing about fashion. Naturally my first stop in a situation like this was google. It didn't deliver. Frustrated, and running out of time, I turned to a Delias catalog that just came in the mail. I came across a black and white striped cardigan with red hearts on the elbows. I thought it could make for cute nail art, so I ran with it.
The base is Xtreme Wear White On. The stripes are Black Out and the hearts are Cherry red,

31 Day Challenge II: Inspired By A Book
Day 23 is inspired by a book. This was another hard one for me because I love to read and there are so many books I enjoy. After some thought, I settle on The Collector. I read The Collector for school in my junior year and I loved it! It was definitely the best book I've ever been assigned. The book is about a man named Clegg who is infatuated with a young woman, Miranda. He watches her for a while and devises a plan to kidnap her, which he later follows through with. A hobby of Clegg's is butterfly collecting. I took inspiration from that and painted butterflies on my nails. On my thumb I did the cover of one of the versions of the book, which is a red dress all tied up.
The gradient on my pinky and ring fingers is made of Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau, Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue, Orly Sweet Peacock, and Color Club Cold Metal. The gradient on my middle and pointer fingers is Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed, Coral Reef, and Caribbean Coral. The base on my thumb is Zoya Kristen, and the dress is Caribbean Coral.

31 Day Challenge II: Inspired By A Movie
Today is Inspired By A Movie! I had a really hard time with this one because there are so many movies I love. I decided to go for one of my favorite movies, Memento. Long story short, The movie is about a guy, Leonard Shelby, who has anterograde amnesia, and uses tattoos and polaroid pictures to store important information as he searches for his wife's murderer. The movie is amazing! For my nails I took inspiration from the way he catalogs information. Four of my nails have bits of his tattoos, and my thumb is an undeveloped polaroid.
For the base I used LA Splash Nudist, on my thumb Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue. The details are XW Black Out and White On.

31 Day Challenge II: Inspired By A Song
Today is inspired by a song! I had a ton of ideas for this manicure, but once I thought about Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree by Tony Orlando & Dawn, I knew I had to paint it. Here's the song with a lovely picture of a fall landscape.
The song is basically about a man coming home from prison and telling his love to tie a yellow ribbon around a tree if she still wants to be with him. At the end of the song he comes home and the tree is full of yellow ribbons! The song is super cute and catchy. For my nails I paint a big ole tree with a bunch of ribbons on it. On my pinky I did a key because in the song he states that the ribbons are his key to freedom.
The base color is Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau. The greens in the tree are China Glaze Starboard, Zoya Shawn, and Xtreme Wear Green With Envy. The branches are China Glaze Mahogany Magic with some Revlon Hot For Chocolate. The ribbons are Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow. The key is Essie Good as Gold.

31 Day Challenge II: Inspired By A Color
Today is the 21st day of the 31 Day Challenge! It marks the beginning of the final section! The last section is "Inspired By." This is when things really start getting interesting! Here's the prompt to refresh on what's coming up!
Today is inspired by a color! I still don't exactly understand what this is asking for, but I did my nails inspired by the name of a particular nail polish color. I did them based off of China Glaze Elephant Walk. I bet you know what's coming up... Of course, I did elephants! I wanted to paint their body, rather than just a face, so that it was more like they were walking. In order to do this I had to split the design between nails. I love the nails that just have butts on them, hah!
The base is China Glaze Exotic Encounters. The elephants are Elephant Walk, and the details are Xtreme Wear Black Out and White On.

31 Day Challenge II: Water Marble
The most dreaded day of the challenge is finally here, water marble. I
don't know if it's just me, but I feel like water marble day is
pretty much universally hated. Despite the actual frustration of creating a good water marble, I think they really make a neat look. I've seen a bunch of people add little dots along their marbles, and even though it's the simplest thing (the dotting), I think it really adds to it! I'm pretty happy with how this came out!
I used Xtreme Wear Blinding Blue,
Pop Of Pink, Pretty In Hot Pink, Lacey Lilac, Pacific Blue, Green With Envy, and White On.
And with that, we wrap up the patterns section of the 31 Day Challenge! Just 11 days left!

31 Day Challenge II: Galaxy
Today calls for galaxy nails! I was super excited for this! I love galaxy nails, but I never think to do them. I love how this manicure turned out.The key to this design is to make it pretty random, and blend like crazy. I usually have difficulty when doing "random" nail art. But I'm very happy with these and, I'm sad I only get to wear them for a day. I can't wait to see what other people came up with for this day!
I really have no idea what specific colors I used, I just grabbed a bunch of, blues, purples, and teals. The holographic glitter is Nicole by OPI Lets Make A Comet-Ment, how suiting!

31 Day Challenge II: Half Moon
Today is day 18! We're getting pretty close to the end of the patterns section! Today's pattern is half moon. For my design I painted lines of varying lengths to create a half moon shape. For the lines I altered between Essie No Place Like Chrome, and Good As Gold. The base is Zoya Izzy.

31 Day Challenge II: Glitter
Today is glitter! I was very excited for this day because glitters are my favorite type of nail polishes. I didn't want to just a plan glitter swatch, so I just added a bit of design. Age Of Aquarius is much more green in real life.
The green is Color Club Age Of Aquarius. The pink is Zoya Shelby with Milani Pink Flare on top. The accents are Xtreme Wear Celeb City.

31 Day Challenge II: Tribal Print
Tribal print is today's prompt! I've only ever done one other tribal print before, and that was during last years challenge, so I was pretty excited about this. I did a pretty standard tribal print, and I think it turned out fairly well. But I do wish that I went a little more outside the box with this one.
The base is Essie Power Clutch. The details are Xtreme Wear Coral Reef, Pacific Blue, and White On.

31 Day Challenge II: Delicate Print
It's day 15 of the 31 Day Challenge! Just about halfway done! Today called for delicate print. I really had no idea where to go with this one. What is even considered a "delicate print"? Anyway, I went in a bit of a different direction. I painted underwear! Get it? Because people often call their underwear their "delicates."
I used an assortment of colors for the undies, but the base color is LA Splash Nudist.
